Does anybody like the Hitchhiker books? I just finished the last one and I was completely blown away. If you haven't read them, I wouldn't exactly recommend them to anyone, but if you think you can handle the insane amounts of sci-fi, it's worth it.

It's been a while since I read 'em, but they were really good.

Never finished them all, but loved what I did read!

How far did you get? IMHO the last two are much better than the other ones, so if you haven't read them I strongly recommend them.

It was very long ago, but I think I just got through the first 2 books.

"The last two" as in the ones that weren't written by the original author? XD 

There's a seventh? The last two, as far as I know, are Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams (the original author) and And Another Thing... by Eion Colfer (not the original author).

He may also be referring to the last two written by Douglas Adams, in which case it'd be So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish and Mostly Harmless. Which are often seen as superior to, at the very least, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe and sometimes seen as the best two in the series.

Yeah, I meant the Douglas Adams ones. 

1) Still have yet to read it, all I know about it is that it's supposed to be hilarious, and 42.

I've only read the first one, buT WHOA IT WAS FUNNY. It was by the guy who wrote doctor who and dirk gently, right?

Douglas Adams, yes.

I enjoyed them back in the day.

Excellent series, although unlike some others apparently I found the first three far superior to the later ones.
