It definitely depends on the storygame, of course. But I've found that creating a detailed outline before you write can make all the difference. I tend to get sidetracked, so having an outline to focus on keeps me from getting stuck.
Um, why don't you say the idea? Nobody knows what it could be. It could be a unicorn modern war shooter or a floating penis on his way to dreamland.
This is a bit vague. Can you elaborate more on this idea? Like what the story is even about, I think it would be easier for people to offer educated opinions and advice if you were more specific.
