I've begun working on my first story game for the site and want to know if people would be interested in playing it. What I basically want to know is If people would like to have this game on the site before i put forth all the effort. The game is titled Guerilla. It's a game about guerilla warfare in different wars throughout history. Different wars include WW2, The Vietnam war, The American Revolution and the Russian-Afghanistan  war.  Each will have at least two different stories of guerilla's to play. You basically can experience many different forms of historical guerilla warfare.

Like I said there will be many different stories to play from many wars. The oldest war being the American Revolution although I may turn back the dial a little bit more to the French and Indian war If that's what people want. The most recent of these wars is the war on terror.

If people want me to I'll do a story set in the west  during the American Revolution. Also tell me if you want me to cover the Mexican-American war or the Korean war or the Texas Revolution or the war of 1812 or all of them.

Please leave comment on what you think and any suggestions or Ideas you have. Also whether or not you want me to include segments on the listed things above.

I read the description of the game and I think that it'll be awesome! I love history and I think you should go for it( just make sure grammar and punctuation is up to standard).

I suggest a path where you play as a Cuban rebel back in the 50s. These rebels set forward the textbook example of how to fight guerilla style. It was the first thing that came into mind when I saw your game title.

I'll do research on the Cuban rebels. It will be more work but I do want to make Guerilla as good as it can be.

The gams seems interesting and like a solid idea, but for it to be any good it would require a shit ton of hard work. You should really make sure you're willing to put in all the work required before you start, or you'll either phone it in and make a shitty, forgettable game, or just abandon it at some point. 

Also, you said it'll extend to the war on terror., and the stories are of the guerrillas. Are you saying your game would have me play as Al-Qaida? Because that would be insanely ballsy and amazing.

Any side in which civilians fought in any war covered in Guerilla is likely to have path for it at least once. So yes you will get to play as Al-Queida. While I don't  support them they are the main Guerilla fighters in the war on terror so it would be really misleading not to include a path on them.

Wouldn’t a successful suicide bomber/mission sort of be considered a “win” in their case anyway?

Huh, interesting. Yeah, leaving out Al Qaeda would be stupid, you should put them in.

This sounds very interesting.

Playing as Al-Qaeda would be really interesting... though it might offend some people, so you'd rather not. But if you want to do it, just... be careful.

Or just make a fictional faction based on Al-Qaeda or ISIS.

WW2 partisans, Vietcong, Mujahideen, Patriots, all of them are interesting. I'd say do the one that you like and fond of the most.

Just saying, it's the hundred year anniversary of the start of the Irish War of Independence, which was a huge part of WW1, the collapse of the British Empire and featured extensive Guerilla Warfare. Plus, I feel patriotic.

Doing it all at once would be tedious. You should only do one of them. Just saying.

And be sure to do the one you know the most.

I know the Tiger tank better than any other German tank (well, it's the most known heavy tank after all), so I'm doing a Tiger instead of a Panzer III in the early wars or a Panther in late war. Beside, making up stuff for the Tiger is easier. And I like the tank more.

Be sure to do the one you're comfortable with. And have enough research.

I know most about WW2, so you can ask me if you want to.

Not really sure why you felt the need to bring up that you like tanks in a situation that in no way possible called for you to talk about tanks, but OK.

You know... guerilla tanks. Like moles, but with tanks.

Certain rebel groups were supplied with tanks from other countries via secret deals while other rebel groups stole government tanks.

Vietcong was supplied by the USSR. The T-34/85 is still used by a few countries and guerillas.

But guerillas always play hide and seek. Both Soviet and US lost at their first engagement with guerilla forces like that (Mujahideen and Vietcong). But then, they learned from their mistakes.

Soviet's motorized formation was ineffective in Afghanistan. Due to the terrain, armored vehicles' advantages were nullified. Oh, and sandstorms.

Soviet invasion of Afghanistan was like US Vietnam war anyway.

I've been thinking about it and maybe I'll split Guerilla Into different parts and have each part feature a certain sets of wars.

How many pages will each war be?

Also, ever heard of Polish resistance fighters during WW2? Armia Krajowa? Their tale is really interesting.

The German soldiers using Polish women as meatshields was really... an underhanded action.

He could always add a Planet of the Apes fanfic path where the evolved apes are using hit and run tactics to take down the remnants of the much stronger human strongholds.
