Eh, I wouldn't go that far, the articles section is kind of a mess and a lot of them are obsolete or just cover things that should be common sense anyhow.
Sardonist, since you seem like one of those rare literate newbs, I'll instead replace Ogre's post with my own, superior one; read plenty of the top rated stories to get an idea of the possibilities, seek out feedback and advice on your own stuff in the Writing Workshop, and honestly I'd mainly only worry about the articles covering scripting as you need them.
Just so long as you're aware writing a CYOA isn't something you can do overnight. Even if you're used to writing regular fiction, there's a lot more you have to take into account as far as plotting and structure goes, and of course just the sheer amount of writing.
