There is really no way for us to stop "point abuse".
In the future (once I finish this new layout change) there will be pre-publish moderation. A moderator would have to approve your story before it gets published. This would take place for a members first three stories published.
I'm aware of this. It's easy to detect. Also, note that "Giving Away" points via duels are not supported and you should not do that.
