I’m new here,so,yeah.i really like text games so this I think this is for me.

 

It probably is! I'm also new here. I don't understand what you mean by text games, tho. Could you explain?

Text games are games that are like,basically visual novels

 

Interactive fiction or text games/text adventures usually refer to parser-based games where you type commands, such as the classic Infocom games from the 80s/early 90s and the whole indie community built off of that today.

CYOAs (Choose Your Own Adventures) is technically a copyrighted term but it's the one most people recognize, and they originated in 'books', which are rectangular objects full of thin sheets of paper with words printed on them. You know. (Or maybe you don't...) somewhere around the 70s.

I've sometimes seen CYOAs referred to as choice-based fiction, and occasionally confused/annoying people will say interactive fiction which further blurs the lines.

Visual Novels are a different beast which I think only started showing up...late nineties, early naughts? And were mostly popular in Japan until weebs got a hold of them and people started making them in English (poorly, and even more of a niche).
