I'm not sure if this is the right board to put this, but I made an account today and was just mapping out a test game with the editor when someone left a comment on it. Just to be clear, it was a positive remark so I know it may be funny to be complaining, but it rattled me a little that someone was reading a game that I was in no way ready to share. I'm not overly confident in my abilities so I need to know is it normal here to have unknown people basically hanging over your shoulder as you work?

I did just now find a way to hide the game in my profile, I hope that will be enough. But I can see that links to the games are still in the EXP points page. Is there a way to definitely indicate with the editor that I'd rather not have people browsing my unfinished test games at random?

Yeah just keep allow sneak peek unchecked. The dude who found your game is a retard anyway so I wouldn't worry about it. I'll delete it for you.

Mods can still see your story regardless but randos can't if you have that unchecked.

I'm sure your writing skills are fine, on par at least with the others I'm competing against. You should report to the contest thread for official destruction. There's one prompt left and it's got your name on it. Any passable story at all will put you ahead of half the entrants who are just going to flake anyway.

I cannot fucking believe a CYOA site existed for 20 years with no one taking the name "You have died" until today.

While we're on this topic, why is sneak peek enabled by default anyway? I can only think of very specific scenarios where I'd want people to be able to view an unfinished story of mine.
