He doesn't look like Van Helsing.... At all...
To be fair, nothing in the Anime looks like it should. I highly doubt the Helsing from Dracula was an albino when he was young. Besides, i didn't say he was Van Helsing, I said he was probably from it, if my memory serves me.

I have no idea. I cropped him out of a picture with a pair of vampire lovebirds. He just looked so, SO close to my previously-constructed image of Astran Valderis that I just HAD to use it.
He reminds me of my character. (I'm fond of gun-slingers and... looks like he's wearing one of those old trench coats, I love those things.)
