Storygame Properties Adding a Picture Description

11 years ago

So I'm trying to add a picture that I photoshopped into my Storygame Properties editor. At first, I tried posting an external link <img> tag from PhotoBucket to it, which didn't work. I then proceeded to upload the image to the Cys website and manually select it there. Whenever the page refreshes, the image disappears!

Has anyone tried putting an image on their Storygame Properties? If you're unsure of what I'm talking about, look at my "MyVacation" game and notice the pictures on my description. For some reason, that still works, but then the pictures on any new storygame doesn't work...

The image is there, if you place the image in the editor and save it, it is still there, it just doesn't show up. Every time you edit the page again, you will need to place the image back in.

This is the same for your description.

It's working now...somewhat.

If you save if now, it'll show up, but you can't edit it again. If you try to edit it again, the picture will disappear, and then you will have to put it in there again.

I seem to be having the problem for my pages in stories too now. How am I supposed to edit old pages if I can't use my Photobucket account anymore? Whenever I copy and paste an <img> tag into the stories, it just disappears and defaults to an empty code.

Has the Photobucket feature been removed?

I'm not good with code, so I don't understand the whole <img> tags 'n' shit, but perhaps just try to copy-paste the image in normally? Again, I suck shit with the editor, so yeah...

Having <img src="website"> is a much cleaner way to do it for me. Copying and pasting hasn't worked at all. The only other option would be to upload the pictures to CYS but there's a limit on the size of the photos/size of the file/etc. At least with photobucket it was a lot more convenient, since I have folders dedicated to their separate stories on that website.

Right now I'm just in a state of confusion since placing new pictures in storygames is going to require a whole new process, unless I'm wrong and it's just a bug.

Another problem I noticed is that if you're in the Storygame Properties, and you select an uploaded picture and then save out. The page refreshes, causing the image to completely disappear. This requires you to go through a never ending loop of selecting, saving, and refreshing, while never seeing your picture.

The photobucket method doesn't work at all.

You have to manually import the pictures from your computer, before you can use them.

@AppDude27

I've moved this to newbie central because it doesn't actually have to do with the advanced editor. :)
