Hey there folks,

This is a pretty old school place, I like the KISS principle and hope to write a few adventures for you all to enjoy.

I am a self-published author of Mountain Hold and look forward to writing adventures set in and around the Terra's Edge Universe I've created.

I write pretty hardcore stuff in some ways but will of course keep it within the guidelines on here so it doesn't go OTT.

Double Spacing? You mean when you execute a line break?

Yeah, that's the one.

Hmm...I'll look into that some more. Never really had a problem with it.

Edit: Nevermind. Sentinel seems to have handled it.

Press shift when you press enter, and it should stop the double-spacing. The advanced editor is cool though. It's just the classic editor with extra fun options and a different button format, you don't even have to script. It's the shit.

Indeed it does seem like it 'touches the stone!' :)

Roger that mate, what's the forum like for posting video links and embedding?

I've got some video content I wouldn't mind embedding in the stories, usually stuff like music etc so it sets the scene etc.

Feel free to post video links, or embed, as long as it's not on autoplay.

EDIT:  Sorry.  You can use autoplay, if it's for a game.  But I have to agree with James down below.  Although I'm going to be using some music in my new story game...

Ok no worries I just found the embed.

A lot of people feel that embedding video or audio in a story disrupts gameplay.

How strange, I normally just play the video and listen the music, for a video that requires watching then sure maybe, but not for musically getting into the moment via the audio. :)

Crikey! Well I don't mind a free-wheeling forum guys. I've been on too many PC, restrictive and down-right nanny-state forums to last me a frikkin' lifetime! LOL

To give you an example, one of the better forums I go on saw my post edited for using the word 'Oriental'!! I kid you not! They actually removed that word, despite my vehement arguing with the mods! LOL

That sounds like the CoG fuckwits  lovely human beings. 

The mod said he was doing it so as it not to be 'offensive' but I'm like 'Where's the offense and nobody is complaining anyways!'

I laid into the guy, probably lucky I wasn't banned as on some forums they are crazy and ban for anything. As much as I'm hardcore in some matters, I am a 'let it ride' kinda guy when it comes to postings online.
To put it another way. If two people want to unleash a flame war on each other, let them do it. If people want to take sides and join in, let them do it!
That's how we settled things in the good old days online, there was none of this moderation crap or locking threads etc. At least on YT they still leave the comments section alone, despite all the other BS they've pulled with it! LOL.

I guess this site is a mix halfway-ish between Deviantart and those sites. 

Deviantart: appears to have no admins what-so-ever to maintain the site and even the comment section on pictures is fill with trolls.

Those sites: sound like they're extremely strict.

This site: we are a bit tolerant of certain people who have trolled, and if it continues excessively, we'll ban them. Usually, big thread derailments just get deleted after a while or moved over to it's own forum. And if any of it gets deleted, it's only a few specific parts. 

Ever been on Nationstates? Jesus, I played that game for a month or so and throughout the whole game I avoided those forums like the plague. You get warned for trolling if you express any opinion that a liberal's fedora can't fit on properly.

I haven't been on that one, if it's full of liberals, especially ones that are just doing their thing I normally give them a wide berth. Heck some of them know the score, but some are just mentally ill power-mongers.

I should write a book someday about their forum BS, it's a saga in the making! :)

They're games are great, but they're message boards...? Not so much. I got in trouble for calling them "mother fuckers" and "bitches"! Can you believe that? Those monsters! 

 In all seriousness, I can't exist on a polite site. I always decide to get myself banned...

Blech is the sound I typically make. Blegh works too, but I found that "Blech" gets across my disgust more efficiently. Also, neither are words. XD 

What I've found, time and time again are the forums tend to start out great, with the whole 'let it ride' philosophy.
Then they start moderating, improving it etc.
THEN after enough people have shown up, the adverts are rolling in the coin, the traffic is climbing and climbing THAT's when it changes. The ToS changes, a new wave of moderators start coming in, recruiting their mates etc etc. Adverts start flying in all over the place to the point the navigation and speed is a joke. Then slowly over the course of a couple of years the old-guard (folks like us) are phased out via bannings, IP blocks, side-lining.

I must have seen at least three forums I was heavily involved in go down this road plus others. People migrate to other forums as well of course but the 'mainstreaming' of the internet has a lot to do with the demise of forums, PC crap etc in general.
