Forum Games Questions

Just a few questions:

- When player characters interact how does responding to threads work? Is it up to the GM?
Asking because when there is like three people in different places, they have their own reply lines, but if they meet what happens!

- What is a decent reply time limit?
I live in Australia and I am assuming most people here don't, so if I made a forum game should I only accept people from the same time zone? So that they wait less for my replies?

- Good site for images?
I want to have maps but will need to upload somewhere, am wondering where is a good place. Also...

- How to embed images?
So that they show in the thread rather then being a link.

Will appreciate any replies!

Heyooo! From the self-proclaimed best roleplayer on the site not, I, Delta44, will take to answering your simple yet-

... Actually, after looking through this, I can only reply to two of these questions XD

1. Generally, players interact just as you'd expect them to: one person says what they say and do, the other person replies with what they say and do, and so on. It's very much like having a conversation or writing a story, just alternating between the two character's perspectives. I can link you to some good examples, if you wish!

2. Generally, most people from other countries (I've found) are on at midnight for me, though it also happens often early in the morning. I'm assuming you live on the east coast? Since I'm on the western side of Australia, I'd say your best bet is to get on at either the morning or afternoons, unless you're capable of staying up till it's past your bed time :P Teasing aside, I think Virt or Sky will be able to help you answer these questions. @Virtualide @SkyTenshi

3. Not sure. Maybe imgur? Ask @SpartacustheGreat , since he's hosted images on other sites before (I'm referring to EoN, Sparty)

4. Not a coder at all, and I've forgotten the script myself. You'll have to ask someone who knows how to do that stuff :3 Don't worry - we've got lots of people who are good with their computer skillz. In fact there might even be a guide on it somewhere, though waiting for the other members is the safe choice.

Hope I helped somewhat. :P

Some sites for image hosting are postimage.org, tinypic.com, and imgbox.com. Embed images with this HTML: <img src="URL.jpg" style="max-width:100%;">

The style part's unnecessary, but it ensures the image doesn't stretch beyond the bounds of post.
