Need help in making your story?

Okay, so i'm on the first page of the writing. I don't know how to let the reader make choices, or what "link text" means. can someone explain how to write and lead the reader on different endings, too? Thanks

Go to the first page of your storygame, click Add Link at the bottom of the text box, choose where it should go and viola!

Link text is the text displayed on the link. If you view your storygame, the blue words signifying a link are link texts.

If you want to add a choice, you click "add new link" (if you're making a new page) or "add link"(if you want the choice to lead to a previously created page.) You then name the choice / page, which is how it will be displayed to the reader. For example, if you were making a cake baking simulator and you wanted the reader to decide between blue and red frosting:

You would be on the page "the cake is almost done" and you could make new links to "decorate with blue frosting" and "decorate with red frosting." Making those options would create the pages. Then you could go to or open the pages to write all about how their attempts at cake decorating turned out.

Now, let's say that you took them down a pathway where the cake was blue, decorated with sprinkles, and had lemon custard filling. Let's say the person it's for is allergic to lemons and hates the color blue. So, after finishing frosting it with blue, the next link  in this story branch should lead to them rejecting the cake.

Now, let's say that same person loves red, so in a different branch of the story, you've decorated and filled it the same, except that the frosting is now red. In the choice after frosting it red, they could eat the cake and die of anaphylactic shock and the protagonist could wind up in jail. In a third branch of the story, the protagonist might make a raspberry filling instead, and when you get to the choice of frosting, if you choose red, the cake's recipient might fall in love with you instead and that ending could be a wedding. Get the idea?
