Noticing an influx of noobs, myself included, I think it's high time to start this up again, especially considering that another thread seems to be getting used for the purpose this thread was made for.

I don't think the noobs care... also, what's atrahasis? I looked it up but I was confused by the results.

Well I mean just off the top of my head, Atra-Hasis is an 18th-century BC Akkadian epic, recorded in various versions on clay tablets and named for one of its protagonists, the priest Atra-Hasis. The narrative has four focal points: An organisation of allied gods shaping Mesopotamia agriculturally; a political conflict between them, pacified by creating the first human couples; the mass reproduction of these humans; and a great deluge, as has been handed down many times in the different flood myths of the Near East and Levant Continued in Wikipedia

It was a copy and paste of the first result, yes, that was the joke. The "continue on Wikipedia" was the giveaway if it somehow wasn't obvious before then.

But as long as we're here, what was the specific part of that you were confused by?

What's an epic? What's a focal point? What's levant?

I can answer focal point! It's basically the center of attention, where the most interest is ^^ . For example, you take a photo of a dandelion in a giant plain. The dandelion, being yellow and bright contrasts the green background making it the focal point of your picture! The google definition for Levant is, " a run away, typically leaving unpaid debts." I'm not exactly sure if this is the definition you're looking for though because it depends on the context TT. 

Edit: based off of Mizal's post I'd say "Levant" means the region along the Eastern Mediterranean! 

 

"Epic" is one of those watered down internet terms, some people just use it to mean like "big and cool", but in the original sense it's a "heroic epic", like a major poetic work about a mythological hero or comparable series of events. Sort of like the Iliad, the Odyssey, or Beowulf. (And yes, you will ask what these things are, and I will die and cry a little on the inside, but now you can look them up too! Maybe even ask your English teacher about them or read them some day.)

The word focal is related to focus, and used similarly.

And the Levant is a geographic region like Mesopotamia, that was the center of some of the earliest major human cultures and the development of agriculture.
