I know but I was curious what testing was supposed to mean and people were putting confusing things

Because the testing wasn't related to you, so don't worry about what it means. People were putting confusing things because you were butting into places that don't concern you so things don't make sense. If you needed to understand things would be made clear.

I'm leaving to go to Mexico on a missions trip this coming Tuesday so my weekend will be full, and i'll be gone for a week

Why not write it tonight and tomorrow before the weekend then?

Because I have stuff to do now, and adding something as big as a Thunderdome story would only put more stress and work on me. I was planning to do another one once I became somewhat a better writer, like after End Master's Contest where I should have two stories completed by then and I should have my "Would You Rather" game done after I get back from Mexico. After today I'm putting everything off until I get back from Mexico

I'm not Spanish fluent or literate, but the above was 100% unaided, and I'm pretty sure speakers will understand what I meant there. So I hope you can at least communicate, otherwise you will not only save no souls, you will look foolish. Also in the US damnit everyone should speak a little Spanish. It's common enough, and I'm tired of Europe mocking us for most of us only speaking one language. This is what I will protest, whilst the kids destroy college campuses over issues they know next to nothing about.

I agree that everyone in the US should speak (at least to some degree) a little spanish or some other language. 

However, Europeans who try and mock folks in the US because many only speak one language just prove themselves to be complete idiots. They don't learn more than one language because they are smarter or more educated (although they may be).  Necessity due to proximity of other countries requires most European countries to learn more than one language.  If you get in your car and drive 5 hours in any one direction, you end up in a completely different country with that different language. I can drive double that and remain in my same state. This point is only brought up by idiot europeans who don't understand geography and how that influences their life.

Of course, I would expect nothing less.  Mocking people is one of the things that makes life fun, and 'mericans are a favorite target of europods - many times for good reason. I just find the reasoning behind this particular subject to be stupidly naive. 

And that frustration is what makes it fun low hanging fruit!

Though nowadays we don't even need to infer the stupidity of the common American through roundabout means like the amount of spoken languages, because there's plenty of street interview 'answer these basic 10 questions to win 50 dollars' style content out there proving it!

Now there's also plenty of those kind of street interviews done in European countries proving much the same, but hey we're safe because you can't understand any of them!

Because some don't know about the Bible, and to help the church that we are partnering with's services (kids, youth, and Sunday morning services) as well as manual work on the church.

So free labor is the other need.

Well according to Darkspawn the area he's going to is probably fine anyway. Lots of countryside as a historically agrarian area, and the population is conserative and 90% Catholic.

He did express some confusion as to why it was the focus of these trips at all.

Well, this is my third time going to Mexico for church reasons, first two times to Reynosa ( a border city) and next week I'm going to San Luis Potosi ( a Middle city )

Nah Wildblue was right, you said you were busy the weekend but it doesn't take a whole weekend to bash out a quick story. You could've done it tonight even, you're even in more recent practice in this than Chris is, and I'm betting we see you hanging around online tomorrow.

I mean I can't force you to enter, but if you're not going to do anything to build back up your rep then have a good trip, a week of silence is probably a good thing at the rate you've been digging these holes.

I'm kind of concerned that my short story writing skills will atrophy from disuse, and since it looks like everyone has repurposed this thread to be a thunderdome challenge thread, I am issuing an open challenge for anyone who'd like to go up against me.

This would be after Chris vs Stargirl and Petros vs Wildblue(so not for another 2 weeks), so I guess if you're reasonably confident that you'll have the weekends after these duels open, please reply! I'm down to challenge anybody and I'm excited to see who will take me on!

     I have plenty of time. You're a better writer probably, but I need to write more often anyway. If you're ok with having a thunderdome with me. I'll also not make the stupid mistake I did last time by just writing it in less than a hour and leaving it at that.

Okay in case you can't see this image for whatever reason, this is basically what the forums have looked like for the past few days due to your posting constantly.

Now while your enthusiasm in using the forums is fine, even appreciated to some minor degree, you aren't really saying anything useful, amusing or important and you're saying too much of it.

You really need to pull it back a bit. Or at least keep it to a dull roar in the Lounge rather than spreading all over every forum on here.

Keep in mind, this isn't even a warning, more of civil suggestion seeing as we don't actually mind you right now, but continue on your path and that might change.

Okay I'm just going to spell this out a bit more: people who do this kind of low content posting rarely last long. They always very young kids who seem to just want to bump threads without actually having anything to say, and they don't do anything on the site either which starts to beg the question of why they're around.

This is a site with a specific focus on writing topics and interactive fiction, if you're not really into either of those things there's really not any point to hanging out just to tell us hi or that you're bored or whatever. (The latter especially makes little sense when there's two big obvious things to do here and the entire site is literally built around them.)

How do they even find this place? Are they looking for interactive stories? If they are, then why not read said stories before posting on the forums? I genuinely find this confusing. :/

They just tend to slowly accumulate because the site is ancient enough it's somehow dodging all the modern nanny software.

Some assorted Harry Potter nonsense was apparently responsible for this one.

Hmm, maybe I should write a Harry Potter fanfic for some easy reader attraction? XD
