Introduce yourself and get to know the community.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Just wanted to pop in a small hello and tell a bit about myself, to get off at a good start.

I stumbled upon this site when I were reminiscing the old "Choose your own adventure" books from my (frequent) childhood library visits and decided to give it a try - and so far, I haven't been disappointed.

For now, I have mostly joined to enjoy the adventures of others, but I might end up brewing up a bit myself if I get the time. If you want to know more about me (ha xD) feel free to ask. Oh, and I apologise for now and all eternity for any bad English on my part - I'm not a native speaker.

So... well. Hello everyone. xD (I usually don't repeat myself this much, but I hate introducing myself...)

Ah, it's cool in more ways than one - not only the weather (rainy, frosty and gloomy) but also in the positive way, "happiest people in the world" and all.

Oh? That's nice. I'm from Iceland. If you feel you're english is not up to speed, I can tell you from my personal experience that this site helps a lot with it, although I haven't really noticed any errors on your behalf, and if I have, they weren't big enough for me to really notice them.

How nice, people from Iceland are like our brothers and sisters.
I don't feel like my English is that bad, but you can never be sure, so figured I'd might as well get the explanation over with. It's mostly punctuation anyways - commas are a killer.

Hah! I even typed you're instead of your in that very sentence.

We all make mistakes.

I am American and I don't get commas. So no worries.

NO! NO NO NO.

Trust me, you do not want to correct people on this site, they will eat you alive.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

I was correcting myself if you read mine. Full of typos sometimes because i type fast when im inspired i guess.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Oh, no one seems to mind that. My bad.

Don't worry, your English is better than most English speakers lol. I just noticed a few grammatical errors in your opening statement, but I wasn't paying attention to much else.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Beware, or I'll find a way to coax you into proofreading in the future. People who know their grammar are rare.

?? Excuse me but was that a joke? I'm not sure if you were serious or not since you didn't add a smiley or anything of that matter.

Not a joke, I always try to improve. If people know what they're talking about, I like to learn. :) (a smiley just for you)

I happily proofread, I'm just annoying about it with constant messages. I (kinda) know grammar, just not why things happen if that makes sense. I know that you can't do certain things, but I can't remember the rules why.

You need proof reading go to bo. He is the sites resident Grammar Nazi.

I wouldn't say that, he's pretty reasonable, haha. :)

Untill I declare subcolins as being evil and needing to be eradicated, I deny that statement

Hello everyone :) (new here)

sub colins? you mean semi colins; that would make more sense.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Yes, yes it would.

I meant you tend to nit-pic grammar issues. Like they nit-picked people.

That's ... one way to put it.

Welcome to the site! From what I've heard Denmark sounds like a pretty cool place. An Australian (I think her name's Mary but I'm not sure) is currently married to the prince of Denmark, right?

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Yes, Mary is married to the heir to the throne in Denmark :) (and they've even popped out a few kids xD) It was quite a big thing at the time for him to not marry royalty, but I'm sure she'll be a good queen when that day comes.

Hello everyone :) (new here)

Well that is the point. England just did it as welll.
