The last book in the series is comming out soon! I'm probably going to get it just because I have all the other ones in the series, but I have kind of lost my inters in the story. Who else has read them?

I HAVE! I love the books, except it's reaaaally sad. I really don't want the series to end...but it's already 12 books, so I guess it's time. Anyway, yeah, I lost my interest too. I read all of them last year and now that I am anxiously waiting for the last book, I have forgotten all the facts I need to know in the series.

How the heck is the story going be be wraped up in only one more book? Maybe it will be left open for the reader to investigate with the other books (The Beatrice Letters, The unauthorized Autobigraphy) to find out the rest of the story. For some reason, I think the Baudelaires are gong to die in the end.

Yes, I wondered about that too. Maybe it's going to be a reaaally, long book?

Though I don't really think the Beatrice Letters is important, but I have never read it before, so I don't know.

Why?? Why do you think that? I don't want them to die :(

Anyway, what's your favorite character? For me, it's too hard to choose between the three baudelaires, so I pick all of them ;)

Heheh.. I don't know why. I just don't like the writing style. If it makes you feel any better the second book is better than the first. Yes, I read the second and enjoyed it.

lol.. oops my bad, I'm not sure if that was a typo, or a lack of concentration. oh well.

If you don't know, then don't post it. You got everything right, by the way. I didn't like the movie at all.. we had to watch it in class.. it was horrible.

I did know. I said it was probably a typo. either that or just not concentraiting when I wrote it.

Well I won't be a grammar nazi.. if you think you've made a typo, include it in the original post.. it just takes up space.

LOL, what is going on here?

Anyway, the movie was ok, I guess. I like the actors, though. Sunny was really cute!

Ah, you know what? Forget it! The movie was not ok, it was bad. It did not follow the storyline, which would have made it so much better, than just putting parts of the books into the movie.

The only part I like is when the house falls down, because the have to jump. I don't know why I like that part, it's strange.

I like jumping from one place to another with a gap in between. Gives me a sense of adventure. Try jumping across rocks if you have a heap of them at the beach near where you live (if you have a beach near where you live), it's fun as.

The effects in the movie, and most the Acting was good. I havent read much of the books, more peices, probably havent even finished a whole one. from what I read the movie doesnt do them Justice. How long ago was the first one written? anyone know?

The writing style is kind of strange, and sometimes ""frigid" is a word which here means "so unbelieveably cold the Baudelaires were shivering and wishing they were someplace warm with a cup of hot chocolate"" gets kind of annoying after a while. I didn't like Captain Widdershins in the 11th book because the constant "AYE AYE AYE AYE"-ing was getting tiresome to read.

The series starts out more for kids, and gets more adult later.  Like, at first his descriptions are literal definitions of the words, but later on they're funnier.  Also, anyone who can throw in several references to Nabokov gets intellectual points from me.  Also, the distinction between good and evil gets blurrier as the books go on.  The hook-handed man was always one of my favorite characters- I love how he gets a reveal/backstory!  As per the movie- Jim Carrey wasn't as bad as I thought he might be.
