Dust off a seat and discuss a good book here...you do read, right?

These are books by Brian Jacques...animals that can walk, talk and fight each other and whatnot. It's really interesting because of the dialects of English. They British, Middle Age-speak, and some he made up himself. And no one has posted anything here since 7-2..damn.

Oh sorry JJJ didn't see your post. I like the show betetr too, although a more gory and violent one is due. The one they had was designed for younger kids.

these forums about books don't last very long...books suck.

lol i dont know if its that books suck. i think its more about that there is maybe a 30 people fan base here at CYS and 30 billion books to possibly talk about. its extremely hard to find a book that many here have read, enjoyed, and are willing to discuss in detail.

OMG I love these books! They were the first novels I read when I was 7 or 8 or something. I alos watched the TV show on PBS which was AWESOME - since I was a yungin back then. And then I read the Halo novels, so those took my attention away for the most part.

I also love those books.  Haven't read the last couple, but I own them all.

Read the first one way back in 1990.

Damn I feel young. 1990? I wasn't even born yet...

I read some of them when I was younger. Nice fantasy, good plots.

Salamandastron is my favorite book, 38.2935011& because the title (and castle) has a sweet-ass name.

EDIT

38.2935011%

Wow. That is pathetic.

I couldn't stop thinking of it as Salamander.

I do think there is an essential unfairness/speciesism in the series.  I happen to like rats.

The best episode of that show ever was when the kid asked brian why the moles talked funny and he got all "they're not talking funny! that's how people talk where I live!"
