"Faith in humanity" is a stupid thing to have. It's better to fear and mistrust someone, than it is to blindly place one's faith into them.

People are fucking stupid, no one cared about the Peshawar school shootings, why? Because the victims were all Muslims, where was the public outcry then, fuck sake.

It is if a tragedy occuring next to youwould affect you more that a tragedy happening in a distant part of the world where that shit is the norm.

Shit happens daily in Pakistan; not Taliban school shootings resulting in 100 something lost lives and a national tragedy.

Iqqi's point was that for some reason, the shootings didn't receive as much media coverage as several people dying in France.

I remember the Taliban shooting getting plenty of coverage.

Pakistan recieved a lot of coverage, but any which way you look at it, it wasn't as much as France.

I'm from England which is right next to France and feel the Peshawar school shootings were much, much worse.

Of course they were! Some dead cartoonists shouldn't generate more controversey than 100+ dead children massacred at point-blank range.

Depends on where you are. A terrorist attack on European soil affects more than an attack on a country that has been a shithole for decades.

Why should the area matter? 

Because France is a stable, democratic union and the cartoonist was murdered after executing his legal rights. 

What's your point? The hundred Pakistan children were "exercising their legal right" to have an education. 

How are the hundred Pakistani children relevant to this thread at all?

Have you been reading the above messages? This discussion between me and Drako started because Iqqi was talking about how the France incident, for whatever reason you believe in, got more media coverage than the Peshawar incident. 

1) It didn't get THAT MUCH more media coverage

2)The extra coverage it did is justified cause it was something THAT WASN'T EXPECTED IN A STABLE COUNTRY AND IS TIED TO PREVIOUS (AND CERTAINLY, FUTURE) TERRORIST EVENTS IN OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES.
