I feel like I'm missing some "bigger picture" here; some greater meaning that I'm too dull to understand.

Chappie was a terrible movie. 

The police robots looked awesome, though. Say what you want about Blomkamp's inability to tell a decent story, his movies have really cool backdrops and sci-fi elements.

Liked it better when it was called Alien Nation.

Though I liked Chappie better than Short Circuit.

Loved that movie when I saw it at ten or twelve or whatever. I'm sure it's objectively terrible, though. ;)

Too het & too red for me, but pretty damn cool.

...ha! You know, she kind of looks exactly like how a I'd imagine a Weaver to look. Damn, I feel like a dork for not catching that on first viewing. I blame the het; Weaver culture is very female-dominated. ;)

Edit: okay, now I kind of get the impression they're NOT het. I mean, they have a kid, but if those two are lovers in any conventional sense... well, I'd be surprised. They got their own thing going on.
