Well, Hell just froze over and Cthulhu just awakened. Infinite Story just got a complete site overhaul. (Still in progress)

And I guess Sev is listening to more ideas to add more features and such.

Are forum accounts and writing accounts still separate?

Yeah, they're still separate.

I’m guessing Sev is still playing around with the main site layout since I’ve seen it undergo a few changes over the past few hours.

Is the story editor any more fun than running one's balls against a cheese grater yet?

Really, I find the story editor over there a lot easier to use. Always have.

Never liked the whole pop up thing that goes on with the editor here (And having to turn off my pop up blocker just to access pages), then there's whole thing where if you copy/paste text from Word to here, it transforms stuff like the apostrophes and quotation marks into weird symbols, which means turning off the Rich Text editor and having to use tags for bolding and italics instead of just pressing a handy button.

Fair enough. I just felt that it's versatility to learning difficulty ratio was a little low.

I liked it better before.

Apparently Sev stripped it to a bare bones appearance and plans on making it “prettier” after implementing some of the new features he’s got planned. He says he's in a motivated mood so he's asking for ideas and opinions now because I'm sure after his motivation subsides, he'll disappear for another seven years.

The main one that seems pretty useful is allowing authors to download their own stories.

Quick, we must bind him to this realm.

@ISentinelPenguinI , prepare the hookers for the Endmaster summoning ritual.

Ah, I remember going on Infinite Story when I was just a young one of about ten or twelve, at the most. Finding the game Hall of Doors (I believe the name was) and eventually finding the pedophile path. Good times. Sick, fucked up, scarring times, but good nonetheless.

This was a very short lived resurrection.

Sometimes I'd like to escape from this forum to another place, a better place, but there still doesn't seem to be much actual activity there. If Sev is really considering adding variables that's a good thing though, I can't really see myself ever making a serious attempt at writing a story over there without them.
