I just got the email that my monthly mystery package is on its way. It's through a site that offers mystery experiences through a subscription. You can do it solo or with a group. There are clues and artifacts to help you along the way. Has anyone else done this or something similar? In a way, it's kind of a choose your own adventure, as you can choose the order you work through the puzzles, though the end result is the same. 

Never heard of it. I tend to be suspicious of getting mysterious packages though.

What was cool about it is that the other company that did it started out as a private membership by request system. If your application was accepted, you could choose anyone to get the random packages. I imagine the reactions from those who first received them were hilarious.

I thought you'd be suspicious of packages in general, given where you live.

There are multiple ones available. I do the Mysterious Experiences one. But I've gotten two so far, and the first one was way better than the second. So I'm not sure if it's worth the money now.

I was going to say it was a deep joke and needed lots of explanation but end nailed it.

Okay. I knew it meant that, Law and Order and all, but I didn't realize that was the reference. Right above my head. I blame it on a long day of attempting to set up an IVR system.

Do you want to maybe drop a link down to their website or something? I'm curious in this mystery package but I'm far too impatient to wait for replies through a forum. No offense, I'd just rather check it out myself :)

Once I solve the latest one I can PM you on whether it was good or not. I have some concerns that quality will lower over time. This month's mystery is about a serial killer who poses his victims like characters from Alice in Wonderland and is called The Mad Hatter. So it sounds good. 

Just saw that their price went up since I signed up by about $10; I hadn't noticed because my price is grandfathered in.  I guess they're doing well. 

I wanna make a joke here, but ... nah, too easy.
