Most, if not all, have probably heard of The Walking Dead on AMC, and now chooseyourstory.com is granted its own zombie jewel, Dead Man Walking (Zombie Survival) by its own BerkaZerka. Out of the two, which one do you think had a better/more believable outlook on the zombie apocalypse? (After all, it would be nice to know which source to turn to if a zombie apocalypse ever does happen >>) Also, do you think some of the events in Berka's story would  go great with the tv show?

I've never liked having anything other than shambling dead in zombie stories, Hellhounds, Banshees and the like are...pretty meh with me. I do agree that zombies would just decay after a while and fall victim to natural predation. So Berka gets an edge there. I haven't watched the show so I can't say.

He means that according to your description, the walking dead gets the edge on having no other zombie types.

Sorry, ugilick, for misunderstanding you! (was thinking you meant that the shows does have a little bit of hellhounds, banshees, and the like)

In the walking dead everyone is infected by default, and zombie bites/scratches only serve to kill people faster due to infection. If you die, regardless if it's from a zombie bite or not, you turn into a zombie.

Hmm, that's a pretty cool idea.

I wonder if the virus was contracted from the air....everybody, hold your breath if you don't want to be a zombie when you die.

Berka's story actually had some resident evil stuff going on in it which I didn't mind. It was pretty damn unexpected when I encountered the hellhound and the giant mutant zombie since I went into the story only expecting regular zombies and human enemies.

I watch the tv show and its okay when the characters aren't being overly annoying, but honestly I like the comic book A LOT better.

So give an edge to the comic book walking dead!

Is the katana-wielding character in the comic book?

Yeah, Michonne's in the comic. I didn't think I'd like her character at first, but she's one of the stronger ones now.

The tv version acts pretty much like how she does in the comic book.

Than someday, I'll have to read the comics. Guess its a good thing I haven't really been watching the show, or there would be major spoilers for me when I read the comic.

Not a whole lot, the tv show has pretty much deviated from the comic quite a bit at this point. There are some similarities with locations and characters, but the events have become different and a lot of the characters don't act similar to the comic book.
