It's writing is good, but the story itself is too short, unfulfilling, and incomplete (Only to be expected considering it's only part of a never to be finished series)
It makes up for it with great replay value, but even that has it's limits (To be specific, five replays, maybe up to 6).
There are likely better stories, such as dungeon stompage (Though its buggy enough that it probably shouldn't be featured, and doesn't have equal replay value) and I assume others (My opinion is only worth so much when I haven't played all of the games in the fantasy section).
I wouldn't exactly say it's the most creative story, it's really almost stereotypical, but I will admit to it's unique structure, i've yet to see another storygame do anything like that on this site.
