Will that expedition succeed? Well that's up to you...

Game Recommendation! The Coffin of Andy and Leyley on 2/3/2025 1:35:58 PM

Some of you may have heard of this one and if you haven’t I highly recommend (Plus it's cheap too!).

Basically this game is a loose CYS like story following a pair of psychopathic twins trying to navigate a dystopian society complete with demon summoning, murder, cannibalism and wincest! I gotta say for a dark humor story something I don’t typically like, this game was surprisingly well written. For one thing the twins are very deep characters and despite committing despicable acts you still kinda like them at the end of the day? Maybe it's because of the messed up world surrounding them but I was never actively hating either of these characters disgusted at times but never hate. The humor in this story also really helps with the mood in a rare occurrence within the genre this game can be stupidly hilarious at times.

Moving on the art style is so good, everything is extremely expressive and I just love the gothic vibe the characters and backgrounds have going. I gotta say though I’m surprised that despite all of the praise this game gets for its writing and art no one brings up how solid the score is. For an indie game with a limited budget the score is remarkably diverse and I just adore the piano centered music. These songs give off heavy “Professor Layton” vibes at times and they always find a way to match the mood of every scene perfectly.

So yea I enjoyed this game a lot, it kept me entertained most of yesterday when I had a lot of free time after finishing a paper so I would say it fulfilled its purpose. The 2nd half of the game is still in development and is currently expected to release late 2025 or early 2026, I will certainly be sticking around to see those new episodes.

I was laughing at some parts of that last episode the character deaths were so sudden LOL

Oh man those last 2 episodes were rushed and sloppy kinda feels like they took their time with the first 7 and then realized oh shit we need to wrap this story up FAST.

Ohio Valley Snowstorm

IMG_4058.jpeg

Oh man as a weather nerd the snowstorm next week is looking like one of the most beautiful storm evolution's I've seen in a long while. Parts of the Ohio valley may pick up over a foot of snow and the western slopes of the Appalachian mountains could get even more (24+?) from the initial storm and lake effect bands that follow.

If it wasn't mid November we would be talking about a blizzard of biblical proportions right now.

The CYS Weather Thread!! (2024 Edition) on 11/15/2024 9:29:50 PM

It won't really restrengthen instead it's merging with an approaching front which will probably create an impressive squall line that'll cross through the state mid week.

As for New England it doesn't look like the system will merge with the Midwest snowstorm though it does look likely the region will experience its first wide spread lake effect snow event of the winter.
