Player Comments on Forest Findings
It was a game with excellent writing and well-placed pictures. The idea of exploring a forest to find treasure is simple and fairly well-executed.
However, it was still regretfully short and didn't feel like exploring a forest so much as zooming through one in the blink of an eye. This story was too short to really build up on its promising start. The fact that certain choices lead to dead ends where both options result in death was problematic as well - making the reader kill themselves in an obviously stupid way like sticking their own arm into a pit of snakes broke my suspension of disbelief.
All in all though, if not for the short length, this game would have gotten a higher rating from me. The writer clearly has good skills - they just need to put in more effort.

This is a nonsense story about walking through the woods and putting your hands in holes full of snakes. Why do you put your hands in an asp hole? That's never explained.

It was so short that I decided to read it carefully. Yet there was no description of the character, and no proper storyline. Sure, the grammar was correct, but it was only a few sentences long!
I think that you ought to put more effort into your games or others would just farm points on your storygames and everything would be a waste of time.

"As you make your way through this story you will come across the adventure the forest holds within." ... What adventure? I walked down a path, picked up a shovel, dug a hole and found some treasure. That's not really much of an adventure, I'm afraid.
I think the most annoying thing about this game is all the "left or right" choices. I mean the first one I can forgive you for, since you at least gave an explanation of what was on the right and the left, but then when you're digging holes and the game asks if you want to explore the left or right hole... Was that really necessary? Honestly, I don't think there's anything in an I.F. game lazier than asking the reader if they want to go left or right. (Except asking them if they want to wake up or stay in bed.)
Sill, certainly not the worst short story I've ever read. At least the spelling and grammar were decent and you took the time to find some pretty pictures to distract from how bland the game was... Feeling generous today, so 3/8. ^_^

Well, this was disappointing. I actually hoped that I would actually have some sort of adventure in the forests, but instead, I walked through the forests, got killed by a mother bear, searched some holes, got killed by some snakes and/or some spiders. When I finally made it out alive, I received no actual rewards other than what I found...
Now that I'm done complaining about dying so many times, let me actually try to analyze the story properly.
1. It was too damn short, as in it was over after just a couple pages. I mean, I've read my fair share of short stories and I have seen a few good short stories, but this was not good.
2. The pages themselves were really short. There was no description of almost anything there, even when I died, there was no description or anything on my death, it was just like "congrats, you're dead" and done.
3. It was disappointing, I actually expected to have some sort of mini-adventure in the forest and finding all sorts of cool stuff, but alas, it was not meant to be.
So, I rate this story a 3/8 for disappointing me. It could have been a good story... but it wasn't.

Very short and not very interesting with either path you choose. The problem with 1 path has already been pointed out, but the other ath still had a problem.... Walking towards Bears, even carefully, is quite silly, could have been worded better "you slowly walk backwards while facing the bear and wait for them to move on" would work better.... bear 101

Ok, so it could've been a lot longer. No matter what path you take you get maybe six or seven pages of game. (I didn't count, so I could be wrong). If you added some story and made it a lot longer, it could be quite a good game.
That said, I did like the pictures and the writing was pretty decent. Can't wait to see your next game.

Alright, so we are exploring the classic left or right option. This could have worked so well if you decided to break the trope and have a hidden path or something to find. I so wanted this to be a trek through a forest with interesting, if not, outright supernatural stuff.
It is so short, I will map it and comment:
*The crowded path that led to bears was interesting, makes me wonder if you should have an option to inspect the tracks. Or, identify the sounds down the path. I approached cautiously and nothing happened, which means it was a good choice path...but, it led to me finding nada. I guess that is a dead end of sorts. So anti-climatic!
The path less traveled of course continues the story! We all know that! Surprise me! So now I get to pick an item. Okay, maybe script in the items for this or your next game? That would be less pages you would have to make. And then I could feel like I had the item. Also, who is to say I cant take both? What stops me? Is there an invisible guardian of the forest keeping watch to prevent me?
*I take the flashlight: I am looking for treasure, I know this is not gonna help, but hey, maybe right? So, two holes. I can walk on to nada again, or investigate. I can see clearly what is in each due to the flashlight, but it does not help me get anything (I can't even decide to go back and get the shovel now that I know what is in there). Something is glinting in the snake pit, but -- nope, not gonna be the treasure (I find this out later!). But, what was glinting? A decoy? Would have been nice to know. Also, once I decide to investigate, I CANNOT choose to continue walking without sticking my hand into a pit with known dangers. That is not something a person with a brain would do!
*I take the shovel: Okay, now I know I'm gonna get me some treasure! So I see the two holes now. After the flashlight let down, I know what is in these holes. I check out both anyway. So yeah, snake pit, I die --shocker. So the spider pit, reach my hand into a hole already dug with -- wait! What is the shovel doing for me again? Uh.... was this thought through? So, I reach in, no spiders and... treasure! Yay!
The game is good, the writing is great, love the picture. This game really needs details and a bit of uhm forethought thrown in there to make those actions believable or make sense. Fun to play, good luck on your next one!

While not the best, it has a lot more potential and if you want to we can partner up to create a more detailed story, because that really all your missing, details

How does one just die out of nowhere? It's like you just had the main character dying out of nowhere.

Excellent use of pictures but rather than just link us to a generic Death page it would be nice to know why exactly I've changed from my usual Live state :) The story could have been expanded or the forest made more challenging.

It was kind of cute, but I think you should explain why the character dies instead of having them go to the same "You died for some reason" page every time.
