Wow... I never thought i'd say this, but that was an enjoyable math quiz.
Very creative, I must admit that I don't think anyone else on this site has the ability to make a math test that I would find as enjoyable as this one. While the math was incredibly simple, the situations really gave it a nice element in my opinion.
It wasn't short, with quite a number of questions. But you literally can't fail, since if you make a wrong choice it simply makes you go back. A harsher penalty might be nice. That may not have been the best thing to do in my opinion, but I think it helps make this a great storygame for young children.
I liked the pictures, because while they were very simply sketched, they related quite well to the storygame and gave me more of a picture of what was happening since the writing failed to do so. But that's not a bad thing, I imagine it would be hard to make a fleshed out math test xD
Nice work, i'll give this a 4/8. Santa is a fatass by the way :P

First just let me say I liked it! This game came out appropriately at the beginning of December and got me in a nice Christmassy mood, that said, I did rate it as "4, slightly more fun than homework" 'cos to be fair, that's literally what it is, and that's not meant as an insult or anything, it's just a kind of fun version of a young kid's homework. The math was extremely basic addition and subtraction, and as an adult, I'd like to have seen some multiplication, division, fractions and percentages in there just to add some variety, but then I don't really know what age kids you were aiming this game towards, so I can't complain. The highlight for me was the profile sticker at the end. I know they're unnecessary and most people can't be bothered with them but personally I'm a sucker for profile badges, it's just a cute, fun little reward for playing the game and I always appreciate when someone takes the effort to make one, so thanks for that! Despite rating this game low, there's nothing actually wrong with it and it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it gives us a few simple math problems to solve while getting us into the Christmas spirit, so well done for that! ^_^

I guess it was creative. I do not see the point of the "certificate" at the end. Why would anyone want to be reminded that they did a good job at basic math?

This was a fun little test. Not exactly difficult, but I don't think you were intending it to be very hard. Good work.

I honestly just read it out of curiosity and for points but to be honest all you need is a better story and a worse penalty for answering wrong but until you have that my rating stays 3

Nice effort to make a Maths Quiz out of a popular children's story, perhaps it would be nice to test subtraction as well?

So let me get this straight: There are 425 Christmas trees in the ENTIRE WORLD, decorated with 950 ornaments which is an average of 2.2 ornaments PER TREE... only now, of course, after some broke, it's more like 2 ornaments even.
We also only have--again, for the entire world--1600 lights (and you said individual lights, not strings of lights,) which is an average of 3.7 lights per tree--except that some of them are broken, so it's really an average of 3.1 now.
... And you really expect me to believe, after this half-@$$ed attempt at celebrating one of the biggest holidays in the Western world, that it was the -Grinch's- fault Christmas was ruined? >_>' Really? Also, how am I not on the naughty list for sneaking some of Santa's cookies? o.0

not too bad. If the math got a little more complicated (for instance, using numbers that are not multiples of 5), I might have liked it a bit better, but that's just me.

Not bad as a kid's game; the math is about Gr. 2 - level addition & subtraction. To make it more challenging, you could try keeping this as the Easy level, and do versions with multiplication/division, fractions, etc. as more advanced levels.
The theme would appeal to players of a broad age range, though. I can easily see my son's HS special-ed class playing this game!

8/8 for reminding me of those beautifull moments!

While it was obviously geared for kids who need to learn math, I found the game lacking in all crucial areas. When trying to teach kids with a game, dont just do addition and subtraction problems and call it a game, make a game, and have math as a detail that makes the story interesting. Teach math using a story, do not write a story using math as its only quality.

There was no actual reason to do math, plot was extremely lacking, and I was bored the whole way through. You know the amount of people in the demographic for 8 year olds (the ones who would need to learn addition and subtraction I'm assuming) is here? Not very high.
