Or maybe it's just me.

Anyway, I tried uploading this photo so I could use it as my new profile pic and I get this error:

ADODB.Command error '800a0d5d'

Application uses a value of the wrong type for the current operation.

/My/Pictures/uploadNew.asp, line 72

I have no idea what it is, but if anyone else is experiencing the problem then it's probably not something wrong on my end. I did notice that it says 'application uses a value of the wrong type', which I thought was a problem with the file type, but the picture is a .jpg file and I've uploaded a shitton of .jpg files in my time.

So... Anyone have a clue?

I've encountered this error before, it's not a site issue, I'll see if I can remember how I fixed it.

I had that problem, did you try adding the picture link? It worked for me afterword.

Did anyone ever find a way to fix this?

"The picture you uploaded is too wide or too high.

Pictures cannot be any wider than 550 pixels or higher than 600 pixels.

The picture you uploaded is 807 pixels wide and 683 pixels high."

Also, even when I changed its size, it was still too big of a file to upload. You'd need to shrink it further and change its format.

I know the file is too big, so I shrank it, and when I try to upload it I get the error in the OP. I'll try with another photo and see if it happens.

Tried to upload this image next. File size is 12.2kb. It's 480x480, which, last I checked, is a suitable size. I have no clue what the problem is now, might as well just give up and stick with this profile picture.

Ah hah, knew I'd remember if I poked around. It's the name, dude. The name is too long. Try changing it to "gnome" (or whatever) and then attempt to upload again.

Fuck.

It worked.

Time to hate myself for a while.
 

Well, even if you shrink the picture down within the limits for height and length, the file size itself is too large.
