Nice . I don't mean they shouldn't write in general. I mean they shouldn't write if they don't understand the stuff they are writing about. Obviously not all kids are illiterate morons, in fact I know plenty who could give published authors a run for their money. Its the kids that take something that has meaning and strip it down to the bare essentials that really shouldn't be wasting their time - I'm all for learning through trial and error but keep the error to yourself until you've got a better understanding going on. 

(On another note: I like what you've got going there, you certainly do break the stereotype.)

What the heck are kids reading these days? 

Anyway from an outside view that actually sounds kind of awesome (the books I mean not the crappy fan fics.) I would read the series if I were more inclined towards animal perspectives, but as it stands I'm not all that interested in reading about the lives of cats (fictional or not.) 
 

9-13 year olds writing anything in general is a bad idea. Unless they can properly understand the themes surrounding the thing they are writing fan fiction about. From what I'm hearing (and I actually went and played a game like two seconds ago out of curiosity) they are basically ignoring most of the elements that actually make it interesting. 

Heh. As a 25 year old who never gets called a "kid" or young in general I envy you. 

(I'm a man-child in my own mind though so I guess it doesn't really matter.)

Not sure I've ever heard of Warrior Cat. Don't really care what it is so I won't bother googling it, since it sounds like something for children.
