This is screwed up. I joined the site around January 2006, but it says 1/9/2006. I think the month and day could be in the wrong order?

In the good ol' U.S. we list the month before the day.

Because, you say January 9th, not 9th January.

first, in Australia we DO say 9th of January, AND its in linear order of shortest unit of time to longest unit of time. eg. 9/1/2006. nine days, one month and two thousand and six years AD.

Yeah, it is confusing, but America is a land of independence, so I guess they just have to have all the measurements and spelling different to us.

Don't worry about the months and dates being backwards (or the right way round depending on where you are), if you think hard enough you may just be able to figure it out.
