This was surprising. I had a link, and I made a link script for it. I canged my mind, and deleted the link. I saved and exited the page. I came back to the page later, made a link on the page. When I clicked to write a script for it --- the script for the deleted link was still there, somehow back again when I created a new link! Even though the link was deleted, when a new link was made, the script was back again!
I tried again, I deleted the link, then made a new link, and the deleted link's script was back again, attached to the new link! If I hadn't gone to write a script for the new link, I would never have known there was an old script somehow still attached to it. That could lead to all sorts of errors, such as variables being changed without you meaning them to be, because scripts you thought were deleted still existed!
