Not sure how much of a "bug" you could consider this, but now in my storygames whenever I try and edit my pages they always save as double lines inbetween paragraphs rather than one. I noticed it was adding a bunch of empty space in the code-view, so I tried to change it there, but it just adds the empty space back again after I save it.

I noticed that, too. I'm trying to update one of my stories and it is spacing like a lunatic.

Yeah I noticed it when I was editing a post on the forums. If you don't space it at all, sometimes the text actually cuts off at the bottom making it look like the sentences are partially on top of one another.

What's Odd in the Stories, is that some of my old pages look fine, but others (set up the same way) look triple spaced out. I can go in and fix the page spacing manually, but don't look forward to having to do that (potentially) to over 1000 pages!

If you open any pages in the editor that you made before, it changes the spaces to be weird. Otherwise they stay fine.

I guess I'll have to be careful when I go back to edit Eternal then. I'm wondering if you still get these problems when the RTE is turned off in your profile.

On a related note, I've just found out why I was having problems with the Post Message button. Regardless of what browser I'm using, the button won't work if I've turned off the RTE in my profile. (That's my current theory anyway)

I turned RTE off and was able to manual delete all the spaces and this time it saved properly, so I would guess that yea, it's a RTE only issue.

Hear you; I feel the same way. Was messing with Mommy and everything is all spaced with span classes and <p>.

Can anyone provide some very, very specific reproduction instructions?

For example...

1. Edit any storygame created before new RTE
2. Edit page; don't change text; click save
3. Note that there is now extra <P> tags

Or anything really... will really help identify issues on this one.

It's an extra <span font family> <p> bllbalblablbbl </p> <br> (adds the p and br)

It doesn't add any tags at all, it just moves the <p> tag a line above the actually paragraph, then indents the paragraph. Regardless of if you actually edit the page or not, simply opening it in the RTE is enough to change it.

That's what it's doing.

It also changes the actual spacing that follows </p> & </div>. 

Sorry all, I'm having a hard time reproducing this. I've edited really pages from an old storygame of mine, and the rendered HTML is still the same -- <p> are <p>, etc.

I do know about the funny HTML spacing, but unfortunately I don't think I can control that.

I never noticed any difference in the tags, just the huge space gaps.

Is this when you're editing in HTML view, or after you've saved it?

It looks fine in the new editor, but you can see the extra space in the html view/basic editor. From what I can tell, it happens as soon as it's opened by new editor. Then, if you test it by reading the story, the extra space will show up.

At all times it looks fine in the new editor, even if the extra space has already been added to it.

Oy, ok. What a pain, the problem is in the story viewer.
