Chapter 3: The First wave
About no time at all has passed since the last chapter except for the few seconds that it took Blake to comprehend what Jack said.
"What the fuck do you mean I'm special? And why did you call me brother?"
As soon as those words are said, some enemies cn be heard coming into the building. "Quickly! Concentrate and fire a beam of energy at them! Sometimes it helps to say expressive words."
Blake looks at the enemies, and puts his hands together in a bowl-like shape. He shouts "FUUCCCKK YOOOUUUU!" and somehow a green beam of energy comes out of his hands and kills the entire squad. "How the fuck did I do that?"
Jack finally gives Blake an answer that helps. "Look, you're my 'Brother'. You were made during a cloning experiment. But I'll have to tell you more later. We need to go."
"Bu...wha...uh... fuck!."
"Blake, we need to go to my private space ship. But we're going to need support. Sam, Drop!" After these words are said, a septic tank attached to a combat worthy robotic suit drops from the sky. Upon further inspection a green eyeball is found inside the tank. "Are the plans for the robot units done?" The robot looks at Jack and beeps a high pitched beep. "Good. I have your translator finished." Jack walks up to the robot and inserts a disc into a tray on the chest. After this the robot starts to speak.
"Finally! Blake, In case you don't know, I'm Septiceye Sam, Jack's loyal assistant." One of Sam's arms turns into a chain gun. "Lets go."
The three start walking towards the back of the building. Jack leads them right into a dead end. Blake once again questions Jack. "What are we going to do here?"
"Be patient. I have many more secrets than you know of." He waves his hand and the wall opens. Behind the door is a landing pad with an Elite Starfighter V. 67, the most advanced ship currently available to a Bossatronian. Blake's eyes widen, totally stoked that they're taking this. But just in case he asks Jack "Are we going to take that?"
"No. We're taking that." He proceeds to point to a large transport ship, heavily armed, big enough to hold about 100 soldiers, including bunking, eating, and restroom areas. Jack leads them into the ship, shows Blake his room and Sam his private charging station. Sam then takes them into the storage apartment and shows them some robots, with a build similar to Sam's but with an Iron alloy looking head. The optical nerves reach down into the body, controlling the body. There are a few small jets attached to the head, allowing it to fly around after the body is dead. He also notices a laser inside the eyeball that can fire once the had is detached. Jack turns to Sam.
"Did you design these?"
"No, Mark did. He got caught shortly after escorting Blake to you."
Blake chimes in. "Mark was following me?"
Jack turns. "No, he was with you the entire time, under the cover of the name 'Cain'."
"Holy shit...."
Sam continues. "I believe he was taken to an Antiseptic prison planet named Megaroundal."
"We'll have to get him later. Let's go." With this, Jack walks away, towards the drivers seat. As Blake looks around, he see's a monitor with an icon of a seatbelt being put on. He sighs, walks to his room, sits down and prepares for the ride.
The ride only takes around 30 minutes, and once they arrive Jack starts to speak over the intercoms. "We're here. Blake, look out the window."
Blake turns to look out, and see's nothing but destruction. The first wave has arrived. there is a singular cruiser launching and receiving fighters and transports. Jack starts to speak again. "This is the bulk of their force, and after weakening Bossatronia they will take over the new station BO55, a prime trading station. We must stop them."
Blake looks down. "What are we going to do?"
"Repel the first wave. Do something cool. Hope we don't die." The ship starts to accelerate. After a few minutes, clanking can be heard in the storage section. The Sambots must be preparing. Blake grabs his pistol, rifle, grenade launcher, and sighs. As they start to enter the atmosphere, going towards the citadel, he sees a small group of friendlys on the balcony of the 40th floor, the top one.
"See those men, Blake? On the top floor? That's where we need to go."
"So, a safe haven?"
"Yeah, kinda." Jack goes to land on the top floor landing pad, but an Antiseptic fighter flies by, taking out their left wing. Red emergency lights start to flash. "Fuck! Hold on tight!" The ship trys to fly, but it's losing altitude fast. They crash into the 36th floor. Blake, attempting to stand, yells, probably because his hearing is temporarelly damaged.
"At least we're near the top floor! Let's take that elevator there!" Pointing to an elevator. Jack crawls out of the pilots seat and into the hall.
"Ok. Sounds good. C'mon, Sam. Let's go." The three walk into the elevator, press the 40 button and wait. The elevator goes up the 39th floor but then stops. Jack sighs and starts to lead them out, but right before he steps out, the elevator starts to fall. They scream, but the elevators stops at the 35th floor. they all fall on the floor, but somehow survive. "Alright, let's take the stairwell." They follow, walk up a floor, and are about to walk up another one, when they hear a cracking noise. Blake looks around.
"What the fuck was that?" The floor starts cracking. Before saying anything, Blake starts running, but the floor falls from beneath his feet. He hits his head on the floor, and falls through. He falls through another one, and another one, and one more. Jack and Sam soon fall next to him. "What are we going to do now?" The floor then starts to crack again. "Well...fuck." Oh, another floor gone, and another one! "Alright, the 30th floor. not too bad." As if he'd jinxed himself, a rather large group of Antiseptic come running.
"Holy shit, It's King Jack! I wonder how high I'll get promoted for killing you..." As the lead soldier aims his gun, both Jack and Blake try to grab their weapons, but then realize that they lost them. Jack stands up, a green revolver materializing in his hand. He fires, hitting five of the 15 soldiers. Sam leaps forward, tackling one and punching him. Blake looks at the remaining and puts his hands into a bowl-like shape.
"FUUUCCCKKK YOOUUU!" The green beam fires forward, eliminating six more. Sam grabs one more, Jack fires another shot, and Blake grabs one and throws him at the stairwell. The Antiseptic soldier stands up, aims his gun, but falls through the floor, screaming. "Nine more floors."
Jack throws his gun, dematerializing mid-air. "No, just three. This has to be boss fight style." As soon as that is said, a giant mech punches a hole in the wall and looks in.
"It's King Jackaboy! Hope you die a painful death!"
Jack starts to talk again. "We have to find a button to call in the Sambots on each floor. They'll distract the Mech so we can attack him."
The Mech Man looks at him. "'Ey! Your not s'posed to tell 'em that! He's s'posed to follow the beacons!"
"Well.... Fuck you! I already told him!"
"I don't care! Gah, this is s'posed to be a fuckin' boss fight, not a damn argument!"
"Go fuck yourself! Blake, go get the Sam controller!" Blake starts to walk down the hall wile Mech Man continues to yell.
"I can't do that, this Mech ain't got a dick!"
"Maybe you should make one!"
Mech Man grabs the ship that they came in, tears the wings off, and continues to yell.
"Ok! Sounds fine to me! Suck it, Jack!" He then thrusts the ship forward with his hand, through the building.
Jack and Sam both fly back, onto the stairwell.
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!" Jack runs forwards, making it off the stairwell before the collapse, but Sam isn't so lucky.
Blake calls out through the hall. "I found it!"
"Good! Just press the big red button!"
"There's three different red buttons!"
"Press one of them!"
Blake presses the first one, and a frozen yogurt machine turns on. He presses the next, and a service bot turns on. He presses the final one and... a safe opens? Blake walks over to it and finds another remote. He sighs and, once again, starts to press buttons. A laptop turns on, the fridge, and then..... nothing. "Jack! It isn't working!"
"Come closer!"
Blake walks closer, and hits the button. In an instant, ten or fifteen Sambots jump on him, and Jack yells "Shoot him, now!"
"I don't have a gun!"
"Concentrate, and make one! Like I did!"
Blake closes his eyes, looks down, and breathes deeply. He keeps thinking the word "RPG" over and over again. Somehow, a green RPG appears in his hands. "Fuck yes!" He aims and fires at Mech Man, hitting him square in the head. Mech Man squirms, knocking off the Sambots, while walking back.
"I'm not dead yet! Hahaha!"
A piece of the ceiling falls down next to Blake, creating a ramp to the next floor. Jack and him walk up, and as soon as they do, Mech Man rips off the wall.
"I'm 'ona get you!" Blake sprints to the right, while Jack goes left. Blake runs into the first room, which looks like a robot charging room. He walks up and down the isles, looking for the command button. As he is about to finish, he walks up to a desk, and finds a BS6, witch is a modern burst pistol, along with several clips. Just then, Mech Man punches a hole in the wall and reaches around.
"Where are you? My Bots 'll get ya'!" A wave of weaponless attack bots run down his arm, towards Blake. Blake aims and fires, taking down four of the ten. He goes to reload, but is tackled. As the robot is about to punch him, the service bot that got turned on earlier tackles the bot and explodes. Blake stands up, knee's the next one, and throws it to the side. He shoots the next one, pistol-whips the next one, but is hit by one, Blake falls backwards, but Sam jumps up through the ground, grabbing the bot on his way up. He goes through the floor, and falls back down on the other Bot, taking him down a few floors. Blake runs out of the room and down the hall. When he passes the next room, he can see that it is labeled 'The Bossatronio Cafe' along with a sign next to that saying 'SAFE' and another one saying 'EVERYONE WELCOME'. He goes to enter.
"Stay out!" A rifle is thrusted through the window, the barrel facing Blake. "Oh, It's a friendly. Come in, come in."
Blake walks in and looks around. He sees a food vendor, a weapons and ammo vender, and a room for rent. He walks over to the weapons vender and looks through his stock. There's a M576, which is a fully automatic rifle, and it comes with 30 clips. He purchases that along with some more BS6 ammo. Blake then walks over to the food vender and orders a coffee along with a box of bacon. He goes to leave but realizes that he has nothing that he could use to actually buy anything and sprints out the door. Behind him he hears several shouts and gun shots, although he continues to run to the next room. He sprints through the door, locks it, and downs the bacon before looking around. In the room there is.... nothing. It's empty. The only thing in the room is a button right in the middle of the floor labeled 'Don't press! -Mech Man'. He walks up to the button and presses it. Mech Man quickly punches through the wall.
"Why'd ya' do that? It said no pressing!"
"Because it's obviously the control button!"
"So?"
"So it's how I progress!"
"Well... it still said no pressing!"
"Stop trying to break physics so that you win!"
"But I'm the first boss and I'm really easy! I have to make my fight more challenging!"
"Shut the fuck up." Blake summons his RPG and fires it at Mech Man, having the same result as the first shot. The ceiling falls again and Blake walks up. Jack walks through a door that is on the right side of the room Blake wnt in to. "Wait... Jack, didn't you go left?"
"Well, yeah.... but..uh... science?"
Mech Man punches through the wall. "Haha, I'm not dead yet!"
Blake looks at him. "Shut up! I'm talking to Jack!"
"No! You'll have to hit me again!"
Blake fires the RPG at him. "There, you're dead. Now let us talk."
"No, you have to find the button first!"
"Fuck you!" Blake fires the RPG again.
"You must find the button first."
"Wait.... last time the Sambots didn't jump on you.... what did the button do?"
"Uh.... it disabled my force feild."
"Hey, Sam! Can you reach that button down stairs?"
Sam's voice is heard. "Yep!"
Mech Man yells again. "Ey! Ya' can't do that!"
Blake readies his RPG. "I just did." He fires and Mech Man stays there.
"Seriosly? Fine." He jumps off into space or something, never to be seen again.
The ceiling falls down again and Jack walks up, Blake following. Sam jumps up through the floor behind them. Jack leads them into a door. Inside the door is the Grand Chamber, a huge vaulted room which leads to all the rooms of important people in the milatary. Inside are the remaining soldiers on Bossatronia. Jack looks around and back to Blake and Sam.
"We're here."
Blake questions Jack. "Why are we here?"
"We're going to gather the remains of the millatry and launch one final attack once we gather everyone we can."
"Are we really going to be able to take down the Antiseptic with this?"
"We have many more. Our next mission is to bring all these to the AA11 Station, the first and biggest station we have. It was closed down a while ago, but it has some pretty sweet weaopnary. Anyway, after that we need to rescue Mark. As for after that, I'm not sure."
"Well, Let's do that."
The three walk away, into the center to gather up the forces, a heroic looking light infront of them, caused by the huge window on that side of the room.
