Hey guys,

I had an idea while talking to JJJ that relates to the forums. What i was thinking is that we implement a private forums within the site. What that is, is that members:

A member "starts" or "creates" their own forum, no sub threads, just one message board, they get an ID, and then give it out only to friends, or certain members of the site. This means that only people who A) know the ID and B) are "invited" to the forum, are, well, allowed to enter that forum. I was thinking we have one main one for MODS, so mods can just discuss things about the site.

Here is how the page would work.

You can have only ONE private forum (or two, depending on what alex wants) and you choose whether to create that forum or not. You get an ID, such as, /forums/ForumId=110?
you are taken to a page where you can choose which members are allowed to enter your forum. You can then give out the ID for other users to go to your forum, who are allowed. The people who have been given "permision" to go ot another members forum, can either view a seperate page list that shows which forum they are a part of, or they can enter an ID in a Search Page.

Also, Mods can enter all forums to make sure there is no bad language BUT cannot reply to those posts.

As they are setup, the forums are really not capable of doing this. So this means, either the forums will need to be overhauled or a separate module would need to be build.

Either is not a problem to do, but the first option (rebuilding the forums) would be something that would have to wait for the .NET upgrade (basically changing the technology that the site is written on, something which won't happen for a while).

You sound like Diana Kay Russel who likes to be called Kay.  She talks really quickly, giving no point, and loudly making fun of people.  She likes a person, but only for a day!  She is pure evil I tell you.  Nobody likes her.

Oh course that is just the post.

 

Idea:  We make a game called private forums and share it within four people like me, JJJ, solo, and Alex.  We would have to work out an agreement and never show the forum to the general public.  Make Links though to each thread and post.  There's no thread or date so you need to leave one.  Hopefully Alex likes and we can all do it together.

Nobody noticed my wonderful idea!  I give you guys great ideas and you don't even talk about them!  What world do I live in?
