I think it would be really cool if the "My Stuff" section of every account had a Storygame Stickers area. Storygame Stickers can be defined as proof that you completed a storygame. Proof could be getting a secret ending, a high score, or even just getting to the end of the story.
Essentially, this would work just like the Rock, Paper, Scissors game on this website.
Possible Implementation:
1. In the Storygame Properties Window, there will be a check box that says "Does Storygame include a Profile Sticker?"
2. If the user checks the box, an "Image Selection" button will come up and let the user choose from the list of images that they have already uploaded to the site.
2.1 A drop down list containing all the pages in the story will come up. This is where the sticker will appear in the story. (That way, if the storygame creator makes a game with a "bad ending", then the game won't give the sticker to that player.) By default, the sticker will appear as its own page before the End Game and Leave Comments page.
3. When the user plays the storygame and come across the sticker, clicking on the sticker or a link will "add it" to your album.
4. If the user goes to their profile, they can click on a link "Sticker Album". Only the stickers that you received will appear. If you got the sticker for that story, the sticker will be shown.
5. When another user wants to see their friend's sticker album, they can click on that user's album and compare them with their own.
Benefits of a Sticker Album:
+This would clear up space on the user profile section for those that have lots of stickers already.
+Gives the user a sense of an achievement system for completing a storygame.
+Adds another social feature that users can talk about.
Negatives of a Sticker Album:
-Loading times for stickers could take a while, especially if user has a lot. (Can be fixed through only showing completed stickers)
-Stickers aren't necessarily used as much. (This would solve the above problem. If a person doesn't know how a sticker works, they won't upload one.)
Overall, I think a Storygame Sticker Album would be a great opportunity to give users a sense of achievement for completing storygames on this site. It won't replace points or the rock, paper, scissors games. It's just another layer of feeling like you have contributed to the community.
