This feature was rejected 4/9/2014: Classic Editor will need a re-write to be great, fixing individual items probably isn't worth the time.

Giving a warning before leaving the editor

Sometimes when I am writing my stories I accidentally press the banner on the top of the page. This can be quite a nuisance if I've just written a quite lengthy page, since everything is wiped and I can start all over again. Of course the most simple sollution would be to be more careful, but I also wanted to ask if it's not a good idea to make a little warning before leaving the editor. Like a pop-up that says: 'are you sure you wish to leave the editor?' or something like that. Of course if there already is a solution to my problem but I just haven't found it yet, I'd also like to hear.

The easiest solution is just to use the advanced editor. The classic editor isn't as good anyway and you can disable advanced features. The advanced editor isn't nested in the same way so it doesn't carry the same risk.

You can also convert classic to advanced from the game properties page.

Yes, I agree with JJJ.

The Classic Editor is pretty bad... I think the idea was there ("write as you go storygame") but it just was implemented poorly. Would love to rewrite it though and make it not awful :-)
