Hey there! I'm Boringfirelion. If I had any advice to give you on game making, is that, don't be frustrated if it's complicated to make the actual game, because it's actually really simple, once you've got the hang of it!

Don't worry about it. You can try out the already existing story games first, to get the feel of how they are written.

It appears you entered it wrong.
You'll want to first uncheck the box next to 'Rich Text Editor' on your profile settings page, then hit save.
Then you can post the code into the editor box, and it should work.

Details, emotion, characterization, and plot are all key to a great story game in my opinion. Length, a variety of characters, and a variety of word choices also are great things to have. Different perspectives are rather fun to play around with. And of course you absolutely have to have good spelling and grammar throughout your story, though there are exceptions to style. If used correctly, fragment sentences are good in a story in specific areas. I'd recomend trying to understand scripting/variables. You can add twists to the story depending on earlier choices or throw in something random with it, and several other cool things besides.

Serriously? I looked at it only 8-10 minutes ago and it said 183. O.O
It's buggy, apparently. All the hits to profile pages that have the counter are being stored to the same variable, so no matter which one gets visited, the counter goes up. Then, if someone new adds a counter to their profile, it does adds another huge increment.

I don't think so. I clicked your profile, three other profiles, then yours again and it only bumped up one more rating. (what? I was curious. >_>)
I did it, and it seemed to support Quillers theory. I clicked on profiles with the counter up, it didn't affect it if you clicked on a profile without the counter.
I'm using a counter from a different site. Try going back and forth between Pirate_Captain's, boringfirelion's, and Sentinel's profiles and see if the problem is still happening.
Here's the same link I posted above...for anyone that wants to try a different one. There are tons of different styles...hit counters.
I bet Pirate_Captain will be really surprised to see how popular he? has become in such a short time... xD

Before we all started clicking on their profiles and messing with the counter, the count had gone up from about 183 - 222 in 8-10 min. That's 39 clicks on a profile in a very short amount of time. Either we have many profile stockers, or , or, hmm...... I can't think of an or right now. >_>
That was my fault, actually >_>
I was fiddling with the html, and everytime I took the counter out of my profile and put it back in with a tweaked html code, the counter jumped up by approximately 30. So in the last half hour, the counters went from around 50 to, uh, what it is now.
XD Well, there's my or. I think that once this is done, pirate cap might want to reset his counter so he can get an accurate number.

Because if you want your images to nest next to your text, you need to use this tag:
<img align="right" src="URL"> and not <img src="URL">
