The reason I'm not hosting the writing threads anymore is due to me furiously writing a new storygame thingamabob.
Opinions on the first page?
Lets start at the beginning. You were born before Time, before even Life existed - in a dark, empty abyss filled with a lack of anything else besides yourself. Born was perhaps the wrong word, given how you had no mother and no father..no entity had created you. A God's memories were perfect, every memory seared into your mind with no way to forget it...but despite that, the very, very beginning of your existence was still hazy to you. One day, you just...existed.
The first thing you wished for was more like you. You willed it, it happened, and you gained brothers and sisters.
They were happy at first, but after awhile they started arguing; with each other, with you. They were a miserable bunch, crying and wailing about how empty they were inside and out, wailing for more.
So you willed the galaxy into being and it shaped itself according to yours and their wishes, and strange creatures filled the earth.
It was strange...their images came from visions of the future, yet the vision you saw shouldn't have happened as you didn't know what they'd look like beforehand.
After their creation, everything was peaceful again. There was so much to explore and the gods scattered across the galaxy. There was only one problem - at this time, Death had not existed and the world lived in perfect peace and harmony. The creatures were growing and growing, and filling up the galaxy. 'Something has to change', you thought as you looked at the endless sea of creatures. 'Or there will be no space for any of us.'
You consulted the others, but no one knew what to do. Except your sister, Life. She offered a simple solution. 'How about a lack of life?'
We bickered over this idea for many a day, we had no Time then so you are unsure how long it was exactly.
You argued that taking the life from these creatures would still leave their body, and Earth mentioned that perhaps he could take them into him.
You and the others argued some more, until an agreement had been met; and Life was given two roles - to give life and take it. Hunger, thirst and other basic necessities also became a thing then.
The creatures at the moment were too brainless to really grief over their fallen, and their hunger caused them to eat even their children. All the worlds at this moment were comparable to an ant farm to us.
Life became bored, and begged your to create more Gods, for all the ones now, she knew.
Instead of creating gods, you sneezed during their creation and didn't finish them. Instead, you created curious little things now known as humans.
And that was the beginning of the end.
Years passed, humans evolved and grew stronger. Smarter. Time was created out of human belief, and temples were made for the gods.
