Hi I am actually new, just join today, how do replies work? Can anyone see this?

Generally you click the reply button and type in the message box, like this.

And I assume everyone can see this given that we don't have any sightless abominations active on the site anymore (Though the blindies could always be silently lurking about)

Welcome to the site. I recommend reading EndMaster's stories. Ground Zero is a good one if you like an apocalyptic setting (and one of the first I read on the site), and Innkeeper or Necromancer are good places to start if you prefer fantasy. If you're looking for something short and funny, Tales from the Basement is a good one, and if you like sci-fi, Paradise Violated is one of my personal favorites.
Every story by End is good, and he just put out a new fantasy one this year, but those are some good starting points.
