I turned off the rich text editor option in my account, since it makes my computer run slow (sometimes causing it to hang). However, the rich text editor returns again every now and then, so I have to go back to my account in order to deactivate the rich text editor again. The funny thing is: the checkbox for the rich text editor option is always unchecked. Can this be fixed?

Try clearing your cookies, check the box, save changes, uncheck the box, save changes, and see what happens.
