Well, good luck with that, then. I don't know how you can expect anyone to help you since you haven't given us any details whatsoever. There are lots of links, haha, which ones? What happens when you press them? What browser are you using? Is this happening in all games? How long has this been happening for? etc.

On rare occasions, I have links lock up in story games. Nothing happens when you click them at all. The problem is short lived and hasn't happened to me recently.

Are you talking about when you're playing a storygame and then click a link, and nothing happens? Like, it doesn't advance, doesn't say that this is a new page, just nothing happens? Because the same things happens to me, and I just use regular old internet explorer.

Can you eventually move forward with the story or does it stay stuck permanently?

I can move forward after exiting out of the story and starting it again, but even going back a page or two, then clicking the same links doesn't work.

It just stays stuck. I use Firefox and it hapens every once in a while

I come across this problem once or twice. I have no idea how to fix it so I just give up. The one I had the most problem with was The Tower.
