The people are restless. Does the King abuse his power?

The Guards have taken the King to a safe location. However, the Royal soothsayer has revealed to them that at least one of their number is secretly a worshipper of INVIDIA, goddess of vengeance/justice.

At first, the solution seems simple-- they will all refuse to speak. However, INVIDIA, goddess of vengeance (or justice) is on the assassin's side. If the guards do not lynch the assassin, INVIDIA will strike down the King through the power of her divine will, making the Assassin the winner.

So go, loyal Guards, find the traitor in your midst. Protect your King.

Four votes are required to lynch and they should be in bold. Do not post anything I say from PM's. Also no sending PM's about the game. I can't enforce this but if I find out your character dies immediately. You may send PMs to me but no other players.  This game has no night phase and no lynching not to vote, keep discussing until you are sure of who to vote. If you vote wrong, the Assassin wins.

You need a list, because otherwise the assassin would stay silent and wait for everyone to bicker amongst themselves until only the King is left.

Just kidding, but that's a horrible idea. It'll just make the assassin's job easier. The more guards we have the more likely it is that the king survives.

Well anyway, the only people who can be the Assassin or the King in my opinion are Playa, Briar, Blob, Written, or me since we are have the most experience and are nearly guaranteed, to not just disappear and abandon our roles, unlike the newcomers. Though it is unlikely that me or Brair are anything important since we were last game, of course Cool could have thought of you guys thinking that and made us something important anyway. Don't want to get to much into that because then were just making a paranoid loops in our heads.

So going off that I say we kill whoever in that group acts suspicious. 

Cool could've chosen who would be which role randomly though as well, so there's no guarantee any of the players listed have an important role. Remember though, in my game Romulus was the assassin two times in a row, so don't think one's past roles have a lot of impact on their current roles.

Still, I think what you said is spot on for the most part. You do seem to be quick to want to lynch us though, how am I supposed to be sure it isn't you who is the assassin?

True, but I believe that I am right.

Well since I believe that one of us would most likely have the more important roles, I can rule out the newcomers and be free to be suspicious of only one of you, otherwise I guess your just going to have to wait and see.

Like I said, don't rule anyone out. It could be random or Cool could be trying to throw a surprise into the situation to throw us off.

I have already explained why that is unlikely but I will keep a lookout for surprises.

So, this time I'm not going to be quiet because that gets you lynched.

I really can't have any suspects as of yet, due to the fact that it's mostly only been Playa and Cov, so I guess we have to be patient.

If nobody begins talking in the next 8 hours, I suppose we start lynching the silent ones. I'd rather not, but if it's the only way to get them all to start then we might as well.

First I'd like to apologize to Cov for the whole assassinating thing. No hard feelings right? Second, I'd just like to assure you all that I have moved on from my evil assassining ways and am now an honest to God a decent, loyal, King loving guard... Honest! I swear! ... Please don't lynch me.

Sorry for not having said anything, I've just been vigilantly looking out for the fiendish assassin... :P They shall never get their hands on the king! Never!

ah, but then we must plot a plan to trap the assassin; one where even if he/she knows the plan, he/she will not be able to prevent him/herself from falling into the trap.

But to suggest such an idea is possible, YOU MUST BE THE ASSASSIN!

Hey, anything is possible. But no, I am certainly not the assassin you are looking for. I am just saying that, besides the assassin slipping up, we need a plan that will work even if the assassin knows about it. Sure, there are many plans one can enact to catch that assassin, but the plans I can think of have a high risk of others accusing me of being the assassin, such as you have just done.

Also, I also think my idea is difficult to enact, and probably impossible unless we guards can somehow miraculously convey to each other secret messages without the use of PMing

Well, I got to tell you, the reason why I won the last game is that everybody wanted to prove to me that they knew who the King was because it'd mean that they wouldn't get lynched. I think that, the most important thing that us guards need to keep in mind, is that the guards win if the King is alive at the end, so even if the guard comes up with a plan that gets them lynched, they still win the game, and even if the assassin kills them, if the King's alive, they still win the game... So I say, go ahead and tell us your plan. Sure, we might lynch you, but if the King's still alive at the end of the game, you'll still win.

Well if we're turning the assassin into something they don't like, we need to go all out! It can't just be something slimey and puny like a worm, it needs to be an abomination against nature, that the whole world is united in their hatred against. 

Out of all of us, CovElite and I are the only ones amongst us to have acted suspicious. Cov for potentially wanting to lynch those he saw as obstacles in his quest to kill the king. Me because I have accused someone in nearly all posts by me, albeit jokingly.

Still, I think a random lynching might be in order for this part of the game. So I vote to lynch: CovElite

As I said, I'm certainly in no position to say I'm definitely a guard and for you to accept it at face value. I may just be the assassin using mind tricks to avoid suspicion. I just think that we won't get anywhere otherwise, and might as well do so now and hope it leads us to the assassin's true identity.

Nah, I don't think it's Cov, if only because he was the King last time, so it's unlikely he'll be the assassin this time.

So... how's the weather?

Ah it kinda sucks where I am at. The past tow days the fog has been really bad. There was also a wetness to it that brought a chill but it wasn't raining more like misting. Feelslt like I have been living in a cloud.

It's been oddly warm for December up in Ohio, but it's been like that for the past few years or so, so it might not be so odd anymore.

'Round here, we're just getting some light rain and fog. Though it is extremely cold.

If you saw, I edited that post like 4, deciding whether I wanted to lynch  you,  MBrock or playa. I settled on playa, because he seemed the most likely. Also he was right, a random would just make it easier for the assassin. With you, I am just not convinced enough yet that it is you.

Oh well, it seems like I'll get lynched off no matter what I do and I can't even read the thread correctly for some reason as everyone's profile picture is pushed to the right, so I don't even really know all of what was said to make everyone realize I was the assassin.

I'm not sure as to who the king is though. I suspect CovElite, Blob, and Briar_Rose.

Cov because I was arguing with him that Cool could make anybody any role he wanted, whether they're competent or not (Like I made Romulus in the first game, even though he did prove to be quite competent) and he didn't raise any suspicion.

I also suspect Briar_Rose because as soon as Blob posted "Queen Briar" suspicion seems to have shifted from him. If Briar really is the King (Queen?) the guards should've continued the lynch on Blob so it would make him look like he was lying to save his skin.

Then again though, could it be that Briar originally voted for Blob knowing he was the King to lure out the assassin, and the other guards followed suit to further lure me out?  If this is true, I applaud you guards. I fell right for your trap. Either way, there are too many possible situations so it will have to be more of a gut instinct.

Edit: Oh yeah, I messaged Cov after my suicide attack and it turns out Briar was the King. Fuck you Bob, fuck you for ruining the fun you selfish piece of shit. I'm going to find you, and I'm going to burn down your house. Do you read me? Huh? Do you punk? All the things you own, every single last one of your possessions burned in a fiery inferno the likes this world has never seen before. Now do you get it? You get it now Bob? Do you? He said you gave up the identity of the King, but then went on to say it might have been a trap, so in the end he went with his gut instinct - which was that you really did give up the king and that it wasn't a trap.

I did at first, but that's still something you don't do. The guards were the ones who gave it away though.  You all changed votes pretty randomly in my opinion.

Is really pointless to give up who the King is just to avoid getting lynched though. Guards win even if they do get lynched, so long as the King's alive at the end.

They all attempted to stop a guard from being lynched, you gave away the identity of the King.
