So I’m working on this story game called “Kingdom Keys” it’s a story game about seven kingdoms, Fire, Water, Earth, Ice,  Shadow, Tech, and Air. At the beginning you choose a kingdom, class, and species. Basically the royalty of each kingdom has a special key that if all are joined together at the Castle of Destiny, will unlock the entrance to the Kingdom of Light, which is basically their heaven. But if someone evil were to enter using the keys would corrupt the Kingdom of Light and plunge the Kingdoms into and age of evil. I can’t tell you more without giving away major spoilers. What do you think?

So will there be separate but connected storylines for each kingdom and (at least for me) picking a class for your character in the story has never been that important as long as the story is good.

Will your species affect what kingdoms you can choose and it sounds like it will be a great story-game. Good luck! 

Class and species will have a minor effect on the story, and changes your stats. Kingdom will have a MAJOR effect on the plot and weapons. And no, species does not affect your kingdom.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

Will the Tech Kingdom be guarding the actual gate without a key of their own or something like that seeing as how it's not a magical based kingdom?

I'm thinking that the Tech Kingdom built the Castle of Destiny.

Will magic and tech be able to combine or will they reject eachother like in Arcanum:S&MO? - Will high-lvl magic damage or destroy low-lvl tech and vise versa?
