Making A Story- The Revolution

Hi guys! I've decide that I'm going to write a story. It has 25 different endings and today I hit writer's block.

I decided that the only way to force myself to write it was to post about it on the forums.

The story I'm writing is about you waking up in an abandoned basement, escaping it, finding yourself in the middle of a futuristic war between two factions, and making your way through life. Hopefully you can find out how you got to this time period ,3254, and survive. There are twenty five endings as I said before I believe there are 16 'lose' endings, but the only real way to lose in this game is to die.

Thank you for reading this. Please leave some feedback. I'll try to update this thread daily.

Uh, wow. 25 different endings? Just don't Mass Effect it *hint hint nudge nudge* (the game had like, three endings that were very slightly different. For an RPG that prided itself on choice, it really lacked in that department)

Anywho, you're looking for ideas on an ending, correct?

Sorry I haven't replied I was busy. No I do not need endings, but I would like some help. I would like you to be my co-author I'll help you out on your hobbit story too! I can send you my story planning in a private message thanks! And I wont Mass Effect lol.

The 25 different endings do not include you dying they are just endings to the story like; you lived and went home... or you didn't go home but lived. You know what I mean? Anyway send me a message if you would like to be my co-author!

Well usually when people say # of ending's they are talking about True endings and not the extra or death endings. Kind of like Endmaster's epilogue's.

Anyway's good luck on your story. :)

I am talking about epilogue endings like those.

if your looking for a coatuhor i understand. If you are asking for help in the form of ideas on the forum we are going to need more information about say the two factions and a bit more backstory to help.

I msged tolkiengirl and told her that I did not mean co-author. I had meant someone to share ideas with (no matter what I wrote in the reply lol) Anyway I really just want a good writer to look at my storyplanning and see if it is any good. The two factions are The Rebellion; a large group of humans wishing to defy the Kilions, who are a large race of insect like creatures who have taken over the Earth and made it into a dictatorship. Basicaly, noone cares that they are aliens, they just care about the form of government. You are from a different time though. ( will be explained in the story (if you get the right ending)). I'm probably just going to go beg EndMaster to look at my planning. (lol).

I really, really advise you to start small. Please take no offence but I'm 90% sure that you'll end up scrapping it. Again, I'm not here to discourage you so if you like you could ignore this post. Every big writer here has started small.

Except for endmaster, and a couple of others, like 3J

Lol, you are probably new then. 3J has DELETED ALL his small stories. He had like tons of quizes and small games in olden times.

I joined the site about 8 months ago, but 3j was only an example. A lot of people go big on their first stories and do well.

Thanks guys. I know I should have started small. And, I'm already getting self concious about the way I write... lol? But, I won't scrap it. That's why I made this forum post. I'll work on a preview and try to work on it tomorrow. Should be posted tomorrow or the next day... Also, I'm going to make it an advanced storygame. I've already learned how to use the advanced story-editor. Really writing it will be easy (just tedious), all I need is to finish the pre-writing (and to learn how to paste images into this damn thing).

Thanks for the support guys!

Sincerely,

Ethan.

A good writer on this site told me to not force myself to write, and to not be scared of resting for a week or even two (see? I remembered your advice!)

In my opinion, he was right. Forcing the story can kill it.

Hey Ethan,

Tis me :) Just to let everyone else on this forum know, this guy rocks for ideas! I mean, the endings? *whistle* Way better ideas than anything I could come up with.

Um, you haven't replied to my messages lately (I can be impatient sometimes. Sorry) but do you want me to keep writing?
