MAG was founded back in 1999, I think. It was a school project by alexp who is the original founder and the grandfather of the site. There are three owners now, him, mrach5th00, and chocobot. Anyways, originally it had a very basic basic editor and a pretty unfriendly site layout with only like.. 1 game?
However after he finished his school semester he decided that he really liked where this site could go. Thats when he recruited march and chocobot. Anyways various improvements were made, etc, etc until about 2006.
We decided collectively that we had too many "gamers" finding the site and not enough "writers". So we created cys. All that really changed was the mention of games (IE: it said stories instead of games on the navigaion bar on the left. It now says storygames) and a more writerfriendly color scheme. The other thing that happened was the loss of "cysid" who is the site mascott and we all miss him'.
