Some minor bug fixes that should end some big annoyances, including the "PM that can never get unread"....

Is the length calculations changed for every story game as of now? Because mine's still saying 8/8. Actually, sorry, now it says 7/8. And we seem to be missing quite a few people after the Forum Games' Posts should not count was implemented. About 20% of my posts were Forum Games Posts, and now their post counts are gone...forever. And Swift's dropped to around 3,000, from 20,000. XD

But wait. My story game length was at the top of the list before the update. Now it's the second longest after the update, even though the other story game had been there for forever and a day. Why?

So, length calculations have changed to provide higher resolution in the higher ratings. Now, a 5 is a decently long game, a 6 is a long game, a 7 is a VERY VERY long game and an 8 is extremely long. There are only 9 length 8 games now. First person to name all 9 gets 10 points!

Could you please reiterate what you're asking? The formula for determining how long a storygame is has changed, and in addition, it now requires a longer storygame to be given an 8. Most storygames that were 8s are now 7s.

My story game was on the top of the list before the update. Changing the formula shouldn't have increase the lengths of story games, should it? Now my story game is in second place. A game that was there before, for like forever is now first place, instead of mine. 

What list? Do you mean the list within the category?

Yes. 

If two storygames have the same lengths in a category, there's no tiebreaker. It's just random which one is higher. It most depends on what you sorted by before sorting by length.

But before 'The Cave Of Survival' was below me? Now it's not 'The Cave of Survial' being first. In that case, does it mean that all three of our stories are tie breakers?  

I think you should re-read through this thread. The way lengths are calculated has changed AND in general, lengths have been decreased. There are many more storygames rated 4 and 3 than before. What hasn't changed is that if two storygames have the same rating, they are the same length. The one that is higher up in the category when you sort by length, is random. If you sort by rating and then sort by length, the one with the higher rating will be higher, if you sort by name and then by length, the one with the earlier alphabetical name will be first.

I thought the algorithm took words/pages/links into account when deciding length.

Try sorting by a different category then sorting by length. Either way, the site doesn't score games as 8 or 8.01 or 8.02, it doesn't know which storygame is longer, only the back end does so it can't be sorting by length, and if it were, Dead Man Walking would EASILY be first. I'll go post a thread about it.

When you sort by length, it probably sorts by length and then by alphabet or by something else. I promise you that A Game of Life and Death is not even a quarter of the size of Dead Man Walking.

Edit: It's alphabet. Satisfied now? Or do you think that they just happen to be aligned alphabetically? :P

Yeah, I was just editing it in that it seems to be a combination of length/featured/rating/alphabet.

Like I was saying, the website doesn't know which of them is longer, but I do, since I spent hours working on it..

If you don't mind me asking, how did you check what's longest?
