What are some of the most emotionally impactful stories you've read?

Which are some that have made you cry, and why?

Funny stories and tearful stories are probably the ones which stick with me the longest.

I cant seem to find ducky park! Im going to write a comedy story by the end of this year, for sure. I probably excel most in emotional, heavy writing, and surprisingly, comedy.

I've come to the conclusion that i definitely don't excel at all with sci - fi or grim-dark stuff. I'll still make one of those but, it will probably never reach the quality I'd desire.

If we are talking any kind of media, I would say "Master of Sorrows" by Justin T Call. It's book one of a series, but I got super invested into it Book 3 just came out and I gotta catch up, but absolutely great series.

As far as for this site alone, I honestly think Dead Man Walking

I'm currently focusing on an emotional WW2 story-game. I'm almost finished with it now. It's got 4 epilogues so far, it's very short, but if it doesn't make someone hold back tears, I'll be very surprised. Although some might wish it were longer.

It's probably praised to death already, but I'll add onto the pile anyway. The Price of Freedom: Innocence Lost made me feel some things. I grew up with three brothers, all younger than me. As the older brother, I did feel some sense of responsibility towards them, though my inclination towards introversion and personality schism with them at times has caused friction throughout our childhood. Despite that, I love them very much. Playing any game that has a brother-to-brother sibling dynamic makes me think back to how I treated them and vice-versa. Knowing that I as a player can affect the development of my fictional brother does make me wonder how I could have done things differently as an older brother for my siblings. I would die for them and do whatever I could to be the best brother I can be now that we're all adults. I still keep in touch with them and love to see how they're finding their place in the world.
