And I swear this isn't an alter ego of mine. Lol.

Well, they took down my thread for calling people "motherfucker", so I doubt erotica is going to go down with those bitch-ass mods they have on CoG. 

I'm almost more inclined to think they'll lock it/delete it because the writer isn't including gender choices or lesbian choices. (Just a straight female protagonist)

The writer is probably going to catch holy hell from some of the forum members just for that alone.

Typical CoG. 

Thing is, I'd swear that the CoG folks mentioned somewhere, at some point in the past, that they were thinking of branching off and publishing choose-your-own-erotica under a different imprint.

Obviously -- well, maybe not obviously to folks here, but if you've been following e-publishing at all -- erotica is a huge market. How the Venn diagram intersects between 'people who buy erotica' and 'people who buy choice-based interactive fiction' is another question... XD

They have, but their standard practice so far has been pretty much to lock down any threads involving heavy erotic content.

What they usually do is lock the thread and tell the writer to go exile himself somewhere else to discuss his choice script game.

Huh. I guess that's their prerogative, but it's a little... odd, considering that previous statement...

...which, interestingly, I can't track to its source -- only to someone else quoting it. Maybe they changed their minds? :P

CoG tends to talk out both sides of its mouth at times.

Like they'll sometimes say something is okay, but then admins/mods waggle their fingers and then make it clear that they're really not okay with it.

Honestly though there are CYOA places more accepting of such content, like CHYOO2 and whatever the other place is that some of the CHYOO people founded when their own admin disappeared for years.

Unfortunately, none of the weenies got mad yet. The Tintin reaction face was hilarious.
