"Closely Knit"

So this one's gonna be about...the Gilded City.  Credit goes to Morgan_R for that. (http://thegildedcity.wikidot.com/)  Any-who, I have no idea where I'm gonna go with this, or how long this is gonna take, but it's definitely in the works at this point.  For now, I'm just gonna list out what I can work with :

  • Orphans.  Because 1) they blend in easily 2) nobody likes wards "free-loading".  Makes for easy conflict with police, other kids, each other, and all kinds of people.  That being said, they're going to be at QUITE the young age, so don't expect shit for the romance aspect.
  • The Gilded City itself.  Since it seems very high-class throughout its entire expanse, and its stance (an inference to Morgan's description of it) as a hub of steampunk tech / magic / or what you will, that allows for MORE conflict opportunities between those who can afford tech and those who can't!  The version I'm trying to envision is that it's more of a place where workers commute to for whatever they need to do, and family matters aren't so common as they are elsewhere in the world.  Hence, MORE STRUGGLES between kids, orphans, and adults.
  • Narrative style : I'm gonna sacrifice my writing style to write like 8-year old kids.  So help me God.

So that means I'm up for SUGGESTIONS and IDEAS.  You can even throw at me certain themes (stuff like Hobbes, Machiavelli, Golding, etc.) so I can make a short-story out of it.

And to the RPers, yes, it does mean I am gonna drop the Dawn of the Worlds project.
