Alien Abduction (Riddles & Puzzles 2016 Contest)
You know, I was sitting around wondering why there were suddenly an entire page and a half of threads here for the contest. I thought, "Hey, that's a lot of interest in a contest." But still, it seems a bit odd.
Then, a day or two later, I went back and actually read the entire announcement.
Oh.
I really should read more than I skim, eh?
Anyway, here's another fancy thread, searching for points. :)
So my idea is an escape. You get abducted by aliens and find yourself trapped inside their ship. You have to find your way off the ship without getting yourself killed by the ship or the aliens. With only a week, it will certainly be a short story (hey, I only found out about the contest when a couple days were already gone, so I'm calling it a week). It won't be all that difficult, but it will take a little bit to figure out and there will be plenty of opportunities to get yourself killed (hopefully with at least a little hint or warning).

Is my anus safe from probing in your story, or do I need to take precautions to preserve its sanctity? Because the gospel of Sacha Baron Cohen in "Brüno" clearly states that the "asshole is just for shittin'!"
On a more serious note, I dig it. I can't think of any alien abduction stories on the site off the top of my head, so this will definitely be a nice addition. It's always nice seeing an Ogre11 story pop up because you know the writing is going to be great quality.

Thanks! And, well, as for your anus... uh...
"You sit up and look around, pulling your pants up. You are in a small, strange, round metal room. The floor is flat, but the silver metal walls curve up and around, creating almost a bubble. You are sitting on a table in the middle of the room and there is a large machine of some sort sitting right next to you. It has long probes on it that are pointed in your direction. Fortunately, none of them are moving at the moment, but your butt clenches as you stand up from the table."

Personal update:
Pages in place, items in place, scripts in place.
Puzzle tested and working.
Now to flesh out all the pages and writing: 26/36 pages complete.
I think I might make the deadline!

Good luck with your puzzle, I will be keen to try it out! How difficult would you consider it to be?

Honestly, it's not all that difficult, given there was only a week to put it together. A little bit of trial and error should get you through. I think it's setup so that you can't just randomly click your way through, though.
