It's been a very long time since I've reread it, but Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird might provide some insight into how to proceed (tl;dr, one small step at a time)

Time. My free time is limited and I have another project I'm trying to get off the ground, ideally by the end of the year... at least as a vertical slice with a Steam page. I do still want to make story-based games in the future, which is why I agreed to restart the Owl's Challenge. I don't want my writing muscles to atrophy completely. Hopefully I can make time for that. But I'm afraid that an actual storygame would come at the expense of my other project.

New work? By THIS owl? Well, stranger things have happened... but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Regardless, welcome back!

This is a fun idea and I could definitely see doing it once, but not every time.

That works for me.

All right, it's been 24 hours and it looks like an unanimous vote for Option B! Awesome. Now... should I actually start this now, amid the contest and everything else that's going on, or should I wait until, say, early April?

Thank you so much for your kind words! As for the rating, I believe someone with more clout than the average user (*coughEndmastercough*) rated it a 3. I'm just happy that people have since played it and enjoyed it. I don't think it's an amazing work of interactive fiction or anything, but: playable and enjoyable, apparently. I'm glad you did both!

There's a-- No, no I don't have time to write a storygame right now. Even if it's about wholesome woodland critters. Including a mole. Somebody please snag that prompt before I give in to temptation, please and thank you.

Thank you so much for the thorough and thoughtful review! I'm so glad you liked the game. And yes, Ghost Love Score is VERY apt! ^_^
